Well, since it's been a whole week, and I'm still pregnant (!) I'm going to screw up my courage and start this thread.
Cobie, Bmee, come join me!

So I think we'd better start talking in here!
We did a hospital tour today, second one. I think the birthing suite is nicer than the first hospital, but I'm not sure it's enough to override the practical reasons the other one is better (emergency facilities, proximity to inlaws, more double beds) Obs works at both, so I'll wait and see what he thinks.
My brother's wife is madly guessing that I'm pregnant, though she started this the day we found out, so I'm pretty sure it's just wishful thinking on her part. Apparently choosing gelati from the Mr Whippy van is a sign, even though it's stinking hot and creamy soft serve is not that appealing. Plus I love lemon gelati/sorbet anyway. I'm still not telling her until 12 weeks!

Hi Mums to be!

I posted in the other group as I hadn't seen this one. Thanks for creating it. smile.gif

Double bed one sounds the go to me. Lovely to have your husband with you at such a special time (to help with nappy changes etc!).

Lemon gelati is so refreshing on hot days - I agree. smile.gif

All of my family know, but his don't. We're telling his parents around the eight week mark, and siblings around 12-13.

We've told both sets of parents, once we had confirmation from the doctor. I'll tell my best friend around 9-10 weeks, if I can hold out that long, and we'll tell everyone else at 12-13 weeks.

Hi Arial

Have you booked in with an obstetrician yet?

We'll probably go private but will be chatting about it in more depth over the next couple of days.

It's lovely as we have been chatting in the TTC cafe for about a year!
I have booked in to my ob and hospital. We are going to Cabrini.
I was at a wedding Sat and a friend was saying how bloated she got in her first trimester with her second. I was like oh right, but in my head nodding furiously!! I have been so bloated and uncomfortable this time. How are you girls feeling?

It'll be good to get a better idea of dates Cobie.

Have any of you used those pregnancy tests to tell you how pregnant you are? I wonder about the accuracy of them.

Oh yes, the morning sickness is in full force here too. I had to ask DH to wash his face again as I could smell shaving cream and it made me very queasy!

I've been uncomfortable already, getting pretty severe headaches with the shift in hormones.

My tummy was really upset tonight. Hopefully I'll feel better in the morning as a result.

The tiredness has really knocked me for a six. The couch and I are becoming very well acquainted!

I'm feeling pretty queasy most of the time. Luckily that's as far as my 'morning sickness' has gone, but considering I *do not* throw up in normal life, I'll be pretty horrified if it actually happens.
I'm exhausted and hungry (which is not great with the queasiness) and my digestive system is out of whack - not terrible, but not right.
On the upside, my boobs are slightly bigger - not big enough for a new bra, but looking good! - and the tender nipples have calmed down (still sensitive, but not painful)

Oh can I join! I'm due sometime at the end of September (approx. 6 weeks now). I'm just hoping the baby doesn't come on 29th Sept as that's DS2's 2nd birthday!

Congratulations Cobie! I think this is the 2nd group we have been in together (I think we were in the TTC 2010 group together). I assuming yours a secret on FB as well since I haven't seen an announcement!

Congratulations Daybreak, I'm queasy a lot of the time as well, and it hits a different times of the day too. A little bit of coca cola and something greasy helps a little. The morning sickness is slightly worse than it was with my other two.

Congratulations Arial! I was defiantly showing by 12weeks with number 2, with this baby I'm showing already!!! and I know it's not just Christmas weight as I have lost a little bit and my clothes fit fine except around the belly.

Congratulations Sequel, I'm guessing your anon? Is this a second time around?

Just adding in my appointments as well smile.gif

Congratulations to you too, CookiesandCream!

I am anon and this is not my first pregnancy. smile.gif

Only two more sleeps until your scan Arial!

Daybreak have you tried plain Salada crackers? I also find peppermint tea helps keep some symptoms of queasiness at bay.

BubbleBee1 it's just good to have a better idea of dates, isn't it?
