I've been reading along and thinking of you - I'm glad the lines are getting darker and the hcg test does sound promising. Good luck with the FS tomorrow, I sincerely hope you get very good news.

I have absolutely no answers.

He said that I could be pregnant however it's unlikely. Mind you, he THINKS I ovulated between the 9/01 and 11/01. He doesn't think it's an ectopic pregnancy however didn't really justify why he didn't think it to be the case. He said that he thinks that I did fall pregnant, had a miscarriage and some of the pregnancy tissue has been left behind which is causing my hcg levels to increase.

So let's think about this logically. Doctors want to see hcg levels double over a
48 hour period right? Mine nearly tripled in that period of time! Yes, they are low. But we don't know when I ovulated. The only thing we know for sure is the night I had sex.

The FS also said that it's too early to do a scan. So the only thing I can do is wait.

I keep getting these and they are getting stronger. This is killing me :-(

Can anyone offer any advice here?

Poo to your FS. (((Hugs)))

No advice sorry. Is there anything to keep you occupied and your mind off this? When's your next blood test?

Next blood test is Wednesday. Bl00dy long period of time to wait and be uncertain.

I also asked him while I was there if there was anything that I should be looking out for in case it's ectopic pregnancy. His response was "no. You just die".

What a f**k head

Not a word of a lie. That is a direct quote. I nearly did punch him in the face!

Been reading this thread..

That last response from you FS.. What a f***wit.. (((HUGS)))

Obviously he is a FS so would have to deal with people who need help in that area, so he should have more effing sensitivity..

I can see why you want to punch him..

Hopefully the time flies by..

Sorry but no way did a fs say you just die.
That is ridiculous.

If he did then report him. But I doubt what you are saying very much.

I was there, you weren't. And let me know who to report him to and I will CC you in on it.

To be honest, I don't care if you don't believe me. I don't think I asked if you believed me. I was just telling it as it is. So if you don't have advice for my situation, then keep it to yourself. If you have read through the thread, I'm already under enough stress and shouldn't have to deal with your opinion.

And I think this is what I am getting at. I'm going to a professional letting them know what is going on and asking for help. Instead I am getting these silly comments.

I'd be:

(a) getting a new fertility specialist; and

(b) getting my GP onboard too.

Not good enough.

That was going to be my next question, is there anything the GP would be able to do in addition to getting blood work done?

Also, I've had friends suffer ectopic pregnancies and they didn't die.

Obviously hoping it's not ectopic for you.

I think it's worth seeing your GP.

Even if he or she can't help you get answers they can get you a new FS referral.

Lol - and I know that him saying that was probably a really dry sense of humour, but it shouldn't have been said.

I'm not worried about dying. I have never had an ectopic pregnancy and I just wanted to know what to look out for. Pretty simple request in my opinion, especially seems as though the FS has absolutely no idea what is going on.
