Hi all,

I signed up with 'I do' when I got engaged in March this year. Our wedding plans got put on hold when we had a wonderful surprise a month later. We found out I was pregnant! I've got 9 weeks until my due date. Our baby girl is due Christmas Day. My fiancé and I are getting more and more excited everyday! We are definitely still planning on getting married but it may not be for few years now for financial reason but also, just wanting to settle into family life.

I would love to meet some first time mums in Brisbane who have recently had their babies or women who are due around the time I am due. I'd love to get together a mothers group for those of us in a similar phase of life.

Hope to meet some wonderful new mums and mums-to-be,

Nic 💍👶

Hi Nic, congrats! I'm due with my first baby in March, and I live in Brisbane too (although I have no idea how long we'll be here after he's born, but hopefully for a few months at least).

I find the idea of mother's group daunting, as I've heard a lot of negative stories, so it would be nice to get to know some mums-to-be online before meeting up IRL! I know a few already from my IVF support group, which is great, but by the time my little boy comes along, there will only be one baby about four months old, the rest will be planning or celebrating 1st birthdays. So I'm a fair bit behind them. Still, it's nice to get advice off the ones who have "been there" already. wink.gif

Congratulations to you too!!! Yeah it's good getting advice from others who have been there already. I understand your fears about mothers groups. I've only ever heard good things from my sisters and friends and don't have many friends in my current circle having kids so would be nice to try get some kind of mothers group together with anyone who's interested. Of course, get to know each other online before meeting in person.

Hope all is going well for you. Where are you looking at moving to?? What date a you due in march??

Nic

Not sure yet, it depends on where my DH finds his next job! If he had his way it'd be England or Canada or something... I'm keen to move back to Perth, personally. Mainly because that's where my family and my (very few) friends are. But at this stage we really don't know!

My EDD is March 7th. I'd love him to come on March 6th, as that will be our 4 year dating anniversary. wink.gif
