Earlier this year I signed up to tupperware. I'm having a great time and making good money.

My question to other demonstrators of different party plans is
Is your chosen product/service payment with order or payment on delivery?

I don't do it any more but I did sell UCW for almost 10 years.

Payments were made direct to head office, via post office, Bpay or customers could log in online and pay their order by credit card. I also was happy to do credit card payments if people wanted to go through me instead (I just did it online with them on the phone) All items were also dispatched direct from head office to the hostess.

I think this is a great system, as I also worked full time and between that and my parties it would have been difficult to get face to face time to arrange deliveries :-) Also meant no product laying around the house.
Is there any felicity in the world superior to this?

When I did The Body Shop at Home I preferred credit card payment with the order. I would accept payment on delivery for a few reliable customers, but I usually would ask for payment a week before delivery if paying wish cash.

Currently with tupperware you can pay via cc, with cash at the party or the host can collect and pay on delivery.
They are making changes and going payment with order via cc or cash at the party. It's all part of bigger plans have direct to customer delivery. I'm liking the idea but just wondering if other party plans doing this have success or if sales will go down.

As a customer who has been to various party plan things - all asked for payment either cash or credit card details upfront - guests never had a problem with that and took the stress out of the host chasing cash payments and also the demonstrator being left with unpaid goods.

I forgot to mention, just before I left, my old manager and another very successful consultant, got mobile eftpos machines. They would only use them for eftpos doing cc via usal party paperwork. They also charged a small fee to cover machine charges. They said it was well received, but it might be against tupperware rules.

The payment thing is one of the reasons I hate hosting a party- invariably there is always someone who places an order, and then can't afford it when times comes for delivery. Grrr.

I sold Norwex for a very short time (mostly because the sign up bonus was astronomical), and they demanded payment when you, as the consultant, placed the order.

sis I am a TW consultant too (brand new) and I was wondering how that would go down too. I do think however that people are used to paying for things at the time of purchase so hopefully it won't affect sales.

Just wanted to point out that those twins in your ticker are well overdue.... saw a pic of them yesterday, no sure they would actually fit in your small frame!
