I hate the word bogan, think it is stupid but still it stays in my head. I suppose I could be already called "Bogan" since I spelt both Zack and Mahli's name the non traditional way. BUT this name is even worse but I like it. Not sure if its "the one" but at the moment its pretty high up there. Do you think it is a definite PLEASE don't use or not?

The name is- Knoxley (No I haven't made it up there are others named it.) Someone suggested it to me. Actually they said Knoxleigh which I think looks more feminine? Yes? No?

I don't find Knoxley bogan. It sounds more like a surname but I obviously shouldn't have a problem with that considering G's name. A quick Google tells me there is a doctor with the name Knoxley so that's a good sign!

Knoxleigh spelling is horrid though!

I love the nickname Knox (and like it as a name on its own), but if you want a longer name both Knoxley and Lennox are good. smile.gif

Hmm no sounds too proper to be a bogan name. Not sure if I am a fan of it although I LOVE Knox or Lennox.

Hmm.. can't say that I am a fan at all sorry and it sounds like a 'made up' name? (not sure if it is or not) although I think Knox on its own is quite nice? I'm not sure it really needs the extended version of the name to use it if that makes sense. I would stick with Knox or Lennox as a name over Knoxley. Just my opinion though! smile.gif

I don't like Lenin I only considered it bc I wanted to use Knox as a nn. I don't know why but dont like not having a shortening. I crossed Rhys s and Seth off my list bc of it.

Fair enough! Would you consider Know as a middle name to go with one of your other names that you had on the list? Or would that be too many 'x' sounding names?

Sorry lovely but I really don't like it. Perhaps as I'm from Sydney and Knox Grammar is a poncey North Shore private school. To me it looks dreadfully pretentious. I feel as if you'd need to have serious money and a long established family history to pull it off.

I think you had better options in the other thread.

I'm not a fan of Knoxley but it's not my kid so it's not really about what I like or dislike.

Just querying if Lenin is a typo though? If not, that would be an absolute no-no for me!

Just for your info, Behindthename is a pretty reputable source for the etymology of names. According to them, Knoxley is made up. I'm sure there are others with the name, but that doesn't mean it wasn't recently created.

I personally don't like Knoxley, but I don't think it sounds 'bogan' at all. It does sound a bit contrived though.

Knox would be great and doesn't sound remotely feminine. Knox goes well with your other children's names also.

Good luck!

I quite like Knox on it's own, and I think it goes nicely with your other names, so I would personally just go with Knox if you like it!

I don't think Knoxley sounds bogan, but I don't like it either. It just doesn't sound/look right to me.

Definitely a typo was meant to be Lennox. Stupid auto correct on my phone.

I prefer Knox over Knoxley and I am not fussed on Knoxleigh at all, sorry. It doesn't scream bogan to me, but it kind of feels not quite right?

Baby names are such a personal decision though! Good luck smile.gif
