I haven't heard from misshelley for a while. Hoping everything is going well with her.

Got a MW appointment this afternoon. Off to discuss more around my "birth plan". I say that because things are all really up in the air. I don't really have any set date or anything. Everything is all just wait and see.

Had a scan yesterday. Estimated weights are now at 4lbs 7ozs and 4lbs 2ozs. Boys are growing well

I admire you so much Zina! You already have more baby in there than I did at delivery. I just don't know how twin mums do it!
Archer is one month old tomorrow. He is already 4.6kg! And growing way too fast for my Last Baby!!
He rolled from front to back twice today. He is so strong!
I am one super proud mama.

Congrats Tori - I can understand you being proud of Archer. He is doing so well.
We need some photos when you have time

Not much to report from here. Everything is just cruising along.
Trying to get a little bit done every day but not over do it too much.
I'm hoping to keep them in there for another 3 weeks at least. If I can get to 36 weeks I'll be very happy. If longer, even better.

Hi girlies! Sorry, I've been in a bit of a "newborn daze" lol.... Got an iPad as a "push day" present from my lovely man and have just been flaffing around on FB when feeding and neglected my forums! sad.gif

So yes, my beautiful daughter Eva Maria was born on the 6th April. She was 6 days overdue.

We are all doing well... very sleep deprived though hahaha. I didn't realise how debilitating breast feeding would be - I feel like I'm stuck in this chair 90% of my time lol

She had a little bit of jaundice (due to our blood types) and a slightly high temp, so we were in hospital for 5 days just so they could monitor it. Wasn't serious but they just wanted to be sure. Have never been so glad to get home and sleep in my own bed in my life!

Anyway, here's a couple of super cute pics from a shoot last week!

Arch is almost 6 weeks old. Where is the time going?
That newborn daze is crazy!

Eva is just precious. They are beautiful photos wub.gif

Yep I'm still in one piece although I have now got an induction date booked in for the 14th May. I'll be 36 weeks and 3 days by then. But for MoDi twins they have done studies so show that they do better out than in by that stage. Not a lot of room for them and they can start deteriorating.

Have another Obs appointment early next week to go over the final details and MW is pretty confident that I wont have to stay in NICU long so here's hoping things go well.

Just gorgeous Shelley!!!

Mr Quin was two months on Saturday. Crazy fast! He is doing so well.. Weighed in at 4.380 last week (which is the exact weight Mayana was at 5 months old... Which I can't believe!) he is quite proficient at rolling from tummy to back. He's so strong! I'm living watching more if his personality coming through. He's a mega cutie.

Haven't been here in ages, nice to see a couple of updates! Zina can't believe how close you are, looking forward to your news! smile.gif

DS hit two months last Friday, and was 5870g that day. He's been a misery guts lately with silent reflux, even on medication, which has been draining, and a week and a half ago I got sick with my FOURTH bout of mastitis, so I am currently seriously considering weaning him and formula feeding instead, for several reasons. Such a hard decision to make though it makes me feel so sad that I even have to consider it. As for our move to England, still no dates yet but will probably be happening in about 4-5 weeks... scary! ohmy.gif

Great to hear that things are going well. I can't get my head around those weights! They seem so big. Though I am still comparing things to pushing them out of my vagina laugh.gif laugh.gif

Very exciting to hear the boys are doing well.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with mastitis Sariele. sad.gif

Eva was 4.049kgs at birth lol. Hefty little thing!

She was 5 weeks yesterday! Time flies!

2 days to go Zina!!!

Sorry to hear about your mastitis Sariele sad.gif I had really sore nips when I was in hospital, it was agony. But once I got home, someone put me onto Lansinoh and it's been my saviour. Feeding is a breeze now (pain wise I mean - not the sleep deprivation haha). Not that that compares with mastitis of course, that must be hell sad.gif

Hi everyone,

So I have finally gotten the chance to jump on here and update:

I am happy to announce the arrival of Thomas Christopher (right), weighing 2425 grams and Henry Glen (left) weighing 2710 grams. Born on Thursday 15th May at 3.44am and 3:47am via emergency c-section.

Both boys are doing really well and we were able to recover in the maternity wards rather than in NICU/SCUBA. We spent 4 days in hospital recovering and we were discharged on Sunday afternoon. The boys are now just over a week and we are adjusting to feeding and lack of sleep (for us and not them lol). I'm so in love wub.gif wub.gif

Breastfeeding has been trying. Yesterday I realised how exhausted I was. I feel like they are sucking me dry. We have been topping up with formula as they are still technically prem though so that helps give me a break. As Misshelly said Lansinoh has been a godsend. But I feel like I'm having to eat and drink so much just to keep up with their demands. I'm like this goddess sitting there with babies on my breasts with people constantly bringing me food and water. laugh.gif

Aww they're adorable Zina! Speaking of sore nipples, just as I started writing this, Eva decided to rip herself off my nipple without detaching properly, holy *^%$! Yeeow!

Haha I hope they keep the fridge stocked with lots of goodies for you too. My dad brought me heaps of fresh fruit and that was awesome during the breastfeeding munchies.

Glad you didn't have to have them in the NICU! You spent less time in hospital than me!

Oh they're adorable Zina, congrats!

Update on my boobs (lol): I stopped feeding on the left and pumped instead, gradually reducing until it dried out. It's pretty much "retired" now, I still give it a little pump every couple of days if I notice any firmer areas, to hopefully avoid mastitis again. I only get about 20mL now though, down from 100 - 150mL! I'm still feeding him on the right breast, but mostly give him formula. Also after seeing the paed it seems like his silent reflux is/was caused by cows milk protein intolerance, so I have had to eliminate every trace of dairy from my diet, and I'm using Allerpro formula. He seems much better reflux-wise, but right now he hasn't pooed since Wed and is in very obvious discomfort, poor bubba. sad.gif

Anyway, we are off to England in exactly 3 weeks (2weeks left in Brisbane, then we'll be visiting Perth to see people and sort some stuff out before we leave), and at this stage unless I change my mind, I think I will wean him completely once we're over there (I'd like to have a boob to offer in transit, especially take off and landing). I may change my mind and decide to keep mixed feeding, but only feeding from one side, plus the having to avoid dairy due to CMPI, plus a bub who often gets temperamental on the boob anyway, etc, makes me feel that it's not necessarily worth persisting. I've had to deal with a lot of mummy-guilt over the last few weeks, but I know plenty of bubs who have thrived on formula, so I know it's not going to kill him. tongue.gif
