I'm working alongside a Catholic priest on something at the moment. He introduced himself as "Father Dave" and but his email address is 'Dave at father dave'. I assume that when I email him I say "Hi Father Dave" but I'm not sure and I don't want to be a dick blush.gif

I'd be addressing him as Father Dave unless he asks you to call him something else (like Dave).

I'd address him as Father Dave, if he's comfortable with you just calling him Dave (esp working alongside him), he'll let you know.

Yep, father Dave is correct. He won't think you are a dick for calling him that.

I have a friend who is a priest (from church, not someone I knew who became a priest) and I call him Father Bernie.
