Much smaller, a dress I chose for me and a proper honeymoon; but definitely same groom!

Venue was absolutely fantastic, all our suppliers, priest at the church so lovely and helpful, was just really really good apart from that. Here's some photos! http://www.vlblog.ne...rch-watersedge/

Ooooooo, I loved checking out those piccies, thanks for that Windsor!! And, after looking at those, can I just say that your Caity is the IMAGE of her mother!!

Honeymoons - don't get me started rolleyes.gif We were deported from Bali because hubby only had 5 months 24 days left on his passport and he needed six months. Nightmare...and we haven't been OS since!!!

Woah Porthos! ohmy.gif That's a bummer. dry.gif

Windsor, your wedding was so gorgeous. wub.gif We had the same theme colours! Excellent taste there. I wish my photographer was a good as yours; I chose ours for sentimental reasons and she just captured what happened on the day rather than the arty feel that yours has. But that's one of the many regrets that are now useless to ponder over.

Oh, one thing I wouldn't get is a wedding album. Ours cost a fortune, took five months to arrive and was damaged so I sent it back and it took another six months to get it back. It was still crap. I think I've looked at it once since then. dry.gif

Bummer was an understatement dry.gif But, hey, it makes a great story if nothing else happy.gif

I second you on the wedding album. A good friend of mine warned against them and I'm glad we didn't bother (especially considering the pics were crap). We had photos framed for the wall instead which is a great alternative as you see them every time you walk by. Having said that, I do LOVE photo albums and photobooks...if I'd had a decent photographer with amazing pics, I would have been sorely tempted.

If I was getting married now for the first time it would probably be pretty similar. I would have some different people, some that were invited I really don't have much to do with and others I thought about inviting but didn't have been a bigger part of my life. I would also stand up to my parents more about inviting relatives I didn't want, who just caused trouble. I loved most of what we did though, it was pretty untraditional, as was my dress, so I wouldn't change much. We also had our photos before our ceremony and that was fun but I was a bit nervous and look it in most of the photos. Timing wise it worked out well for us and the guests though.

If I got a do-over now just for the hell of it I would possibly do our original plan of a destination wedding and simple sleek dress. A lovely evening with close friends on a tropical island sounds lovely. I did love my vintage styled cocktail reception though!

If I did it again I'd go to a hairdresser rather than having hair/makeup at home. The girl was terribly slow and meant I missed out on all the pre-wedding pics at my parents house and I was just flustered and stressed on the drive there.

I'd probably not be such a tight arse about certain things and just enjoy the moment more. I felt I didn't really enjoy the day as I was so worried about everything going right.

Loved the venues and my dress.

What would I do differently.....just a few things.

- Different hairdresser. Don't get me wrong, my hair was lovely but I swear she used a whole can of hairspray which left my hair disgusting for the next week.

- Different photographer. Again lovely photos, but she didn't get all the photos on our list. There is not one photo of me & my brother or me & my mum. Which were definitely on the list.

- I would change one of my bridesmaids. She did nothing in the lead up to the wedding. She basically rocked up, walked down the aisle then just did nothing. I still love her to bits but she wasn't there when I needed her.
