Whats one thing that really sticks in your mind about your wedding day?
I know all these years on (for many of us) its a distant memory and looking back I know I wonder why I stressed over certain things that I dont even remember now.

Generally I remember just how lovely it all was and how glad I am that I got that string quartet, they really made it special and memorable.
I also remember that my SIL wore thongs mad.gif

certain family members fighting because they weren't the centre of attention, and people setting up a tab under our names for booze..

other than that the big grin on DHs face when I was walking up to him

Dad attempting to convince me, at the beginning of the 'aisle' to run in the opposite direction just to see the expression on everyone's faces. Wish I'd bottled that cheeky laugh sad.gif

Driving back over the Harbour Bridge towards our hotel after it was all over, his arm slung over my shoulders, the top down on the vintage car, 'just married' written across the back.

I have little memory of the whole day, am so thankful for all the pics and video.

The thing that sticks in my mind is my aisle song. When I think of our wedding I think of that song playing, seeing now hubby up there and family around. smile.gif

My giant pregnant boobs popping the stitches on the bodice of my dress when I took deep breaths.

One thing that really sticks in my mind is how relaxed the getting ready process was. It was pretty chilled, both my hair dresser and make up artist said I was one of the calmest they had seen.

Talking on the phone to my grandma (who was too frail to travel) with both of us getting just a little upset and her telling me to stop cause I would ruin my makeup.

The look on my both mum & dad's faces when they saw me fully dressed. Dad gripping my hand so tightly in the car I thought it was going to fall off.

Seeing DH get emotional as I walked down the aisle.

And finally our first dance, we went for a dip, we failed and I fell flat on my back, laughing myself stupid the whole time!

The thing that sticks most in my mind is how much fun we had on the photoshoot part of it. We knew we were leaving for America the following month so it was really nice being able to have fun with our closest friends and capturing it on film.

It really was the happiest day of my life - I just remember smiling all day! (and not crying Once which was a miracle!)

How unbelievably quick the day goes!

I agree with how incredibly quick the day goes.

The overwhelming feeling of happiness sticks in mind.

How blown away I was that everyone I loved was in the one place. Over 63 people travelled by plane to be at our wedding and it was such a humbling experience to have people go to such a big effort to share the day with us.

I also remember the drive from the ceremony to the photos with my new husband. Such a special moment as it was our only alone time that day wub.gif .

The hook & eye catch breaking as Mum was putting me into my dress ohmy.gif

The youngest flower girl getting majorly over excited, falling asleep in the car on the way there and then balling her eyes out the entire way down the aisle til my MOH passed her off to her mother! She then loudly asked her mum halfway through why there was no dancing yet cos that's what was supposed to happen in weddings laugh.gif Thank you Disney rolleyes.gif

How happy & proud DH looked standing up there saying his vows to me wub.gif

The lovely poem my mum and brother wrote as part of the speeches, as well as DH mentioning my boobs in his ph34r.gif

And one of the best post wedding memories regarding the wedding was my cousin's little boy (3yo at the time) asking his mum if they could go to go to Aunty H & Uncle B's wedding again cos that was fun biggrin.gif As well as the pic the photographer got of him standing on his chair to get a better view of the ceremony, looking completely engrossed in something that I would have expected to be boring to a kid that age wub.gif

Stepping on the front of my dress as I walked down the aisle.

DH's aunty and uncle taking up the front row seats leaving my mother/nanna etc further back rolleyes.gif

On the advice of many I-Doers, sitting down for a few minutes during the reception and just taking it all in, everyone dancing and having a good time.

My BIL crying at the end of his speech wub.gif Dh almost forgetting to say how beautiful I looked in his speech mad.gif laugh.gif

Mine was only ten months ago, so lots of things. But unfortunately the first thing I always think of is the sick, jittery feeling I had for most of the day, and spending the whole reception just dying to go upstairs, take off my dress and crash out on the bed!

I do remember good things too though.. Lol
