Baby3forme -that would be fantastic having your best friends with bubs around the same age!!

I keep meaning to search out who you are from your anon thread, but i really do not have the energy.

How is everyone going symptom wise? Me, i dont feel sick as such, but sore boobs, tired (soo tired), and just not feeling great. My sense of smell is insane!! I can smell everything, From the envelopes i was dealing working near today, i had to move them across the room as they just smelt gross, and just other random things, like this pill i always take, now when i open the packet its just awful!

I am so tired. I have nearly no energy at all. I am not interested in food, but if I don't eat often enough I feel sick!!!

Baby3forme - so glad your BF are having bubs as well! It must be exciting to share this with them!!

Magic - my sense of smell is alright - it hasn't gone of the charts yet!! Hope you feel better soon!

Jessica - have you had your iron levels checked? Mine were quite low which I think contributed to my tiredness. I seem better now I am on some good supplements.

I see my Obs today! Leaving my DD at my parents' house so we don't have her getting in the way. I'm very excited about seeing the baby!!

HI All,

I had a doctors appointment today, and got the referral for a scan. I decided to do it next Monday 04/02/2013, my husband can come that day. So that will be exciting smile.gif

Hope all is well.

Morning Ladies,

how is everyone travelling?

Welcome Magic and Jessica .... congrats on your pregnancies.

Full of Faith - how did your appointment go? Hopefully it went well. I hope your MS is starting to settle a bit too.

Baby3ForMe - I hear you on the tender boobs! And what good luck that you're friends are pregnant and TTC too! It'll be great to have playmates for your bub.

I don't really have much of an update from me ... just plodding along. I have my first appointment with my Ob next week on Friday, which I'm looking forward to (esp. as last time I saw him he referred us to IVF, which we didn't end up needing!).

Fof the only thing my blood test picked up was raised liver enzymes which I tend to get during pregnancy along with low blood pressure.

How is everyone else going?

My appointment went well depsite the fact that I completely forgot to take the referral with me. It didn't even cross my mind. Baby Brain already!!

I was a bit thrown when I first got there as I saw a list of when my doctor will be taking leave and he is away the week before I'm due. He gets back 2 days before my due date. He missed my last delivery and I would be crushed if it happened again. So I'm praying that either this baby comes early or right on time!

Anyway, we got to see the baby and hear its heartbeat which was lovely. The scan wasn't the best quality though so it was a bit of a blobby looking thing to me but my doctor assured me that everything is looking exactly as it should.

The MS has been loads better too, thank God! smile.gif My doctor said that it often subsides around 9 weeks and it looks like that is the case for me. I still have waves of nausea but eating definitely helps now which is good. It's such a relief that the worst of it seems to be over!

FOF - So glad to hear your appointment went well. That is great that your feeling alot better too biggrin.gif My ob missed the birth last time too, she was away at a conference that weekend. Hopefully she will be there this time!

I had my GP appointment today. Got a referal to my ob and for the NT Scan and also a referal for some bloods she wants me to have at 8 weeks, just to check my immunity and stuff.

All going well here. Keep looking for blood when I wipe. Is anyone else doing this? I had a big bleed at 8 weeks with my first and one at 14 weeks with my second, so bleeding is not uncommon for me. They both seemed to be blood clots that had come away from the wall.

Oh no, was there anything you were doing differently the other day to help it?

I am still doing ok at the moment, but my GP did say that morning sickness doesnt usually start till 6-8 weeks so it could still come. I remember with my first I had nothing, but with my second I had to eat as soon as I got up or I would start to feel sick, so as long as I had food in my tummy I was fine.

I can't remember if I mentioned previously but I put on 30kg with my first and 28.5kg with my second so I really want to try and watch what I eat this time around and aim for a 15kg gain. So that means no donuts and custard tarts for me this time!!! Will help that I have stairs at home now and am up and down them several times a day and I also want to go for a walk 3 times a week.

Has anyone told family/friends your UTD yet? When are you planning on telling? How do you plan to do it? I can't wait to tell the kids but want to have something to show them so will wait till I get pictures from our first scan. So hard keeping the secret though, I just want to tell them. They had cuddles with their little 6 week old cousin at dinner last night. They love her so much, cannot wait to see them with their little sibling!!

Hope everyone else is going well biggrin.gif

I have hit the emotional week 7. I was so close to tears today - I just struggled all day!!!

I haven't got MS per say - I am not throwing up but I just feel a bit 'meh' about food and struggle to eat - which makes me feel ill. Oh and brushing my teeth gets a few dry retches happening!!!

FOF I hope you feel better soon!!!

baby3forMe - we have told our immediate family. There was a death on my DH's side (his uncle) and we told his mum to help cheer her up which meant that I had to tell my parents. Now we aren't exactly keeping it a secret - DD is too young to be excited and I would rather get the negative comments out of the way!!!!

Just rang to book into my obs. My first appointment is 3rd May ohmy.gif So I will be 18.5 weeks by then. Apparently the female obs in this area have become very poplular and they are hard to get into these days!! When I first saw her 4.5 years ago I got in at 13 weeks and didnt book that till 10 weeks. Oh well, my GP mentioned that if my appointment wasnt for a while to see her monthly until then. So will make sure I do that.

Jessica, that's nice you were able to give your MIL some happy news. We haven't told any immediate family at all yet.

Magic, how did your scan go today?

I'm feeling good again which is a relief! Initially when I wasn't feeling so good I wanted to eat junk food but now that I am feeling better I am more into healthy stuff. I've been eating more fruit lately. When I was pregnant with DD I started craving Pink Lady apples. I became obsessed with them to the point where even after she was born I was eating 4 a day!! It was crazy because I never even liked apples before then. Now that I am pregnant again I've gone off them and haven't touched them for weeks!!

I've told a few girlfriends at work (including my boss who is two weeks behind me), our immedicate families and most of my close friends. If I were to miscarry I would tell people anyway so I don't feel the need to keep quiet about it. Plus I've wanted to whinge to people about how rotten I feel! I will wait to be 12 weeks before I start telling more people at work.

I have my BFF's wedding in 3 weeks and I'm really hoping I don't get much bigger between now and then because I don't want to have to buy a new dress! I'm thinking I might need to invest in some tight underwear. I figure it might be uncomfortable for me but it won't hurt the baby.

I gained over 20kgs with my last pregnancy. I have grand plans of being fitter this time round and exercising but I've only been for a walk once so far! ph34r.gif
