Haven't been active here for a while but thought some of you may still be interested to read the birth story of my little princess smile.gif I wrote this up the day after i had her (2 weeks ago today), so take note of that if some of it reads like i had her yesterday LOL biggrin.gif

5am woke with a bit of a sharpish pain down near cervix, rolled over and noticed a bit of a leak (I was pretty sure). Got up and went to the toilet, changed liner and put 2 on just invade something bigger came. Think I had a bit of a contraction so got up at 5.20 and waters gushed so I knew it was definately waters!!

Had a shower where I had another few contraction pains. Hubby woke and knew something was up when he heard me in shower as I normally wouldn't be up at that ridiculous o'clock lol.
Rang hospital at 6 after timing a few contractions and realizing they were coming pretty close together!! They said because they were close and it was 3rd bub to come in fairly soon. So we called my mum and dad to come over as boys were still in bed.

Left home about 6.30 (hubby pointed out that we were lucky to miss peak hour traffic!!). I think car trip was about 15minutes and I had about 4-5 contractions in that time (painful but could still talk through them).

Got in and they got me into a room and signed admission forms. They popped me on for some monitoring (contractions eased off for a bit at first but came back). New midwife started and at about 7.40 she said she had spoken to obs and he wanted to know how dilated I was. She checked and I was 2-3cm so I thought I'd still have a while to go!!

I got in shower - wasn't allowed heat pack at all!!!!!! :-( and that helped for a while but then the contractions revved up and became stronger and on top of each other! I opted for pethidine shot at about 8.45ish thinking it would allow my body to relax and do its thing quicker but I think I was already well on the way myself!! Midwife said she wanted to set things up out in room and asked a few times if I felt any pressure which I didn't but think that's because I sat for a few contractions.
All of a sudden I got that pressure and really struggled to get through the next contraction without pushing. Got out of shower and came through to bed, climbed up and stayed kneeling leaning over bed (I really wanted to try and birth this way due to my prolapse and pelvic floor anxiety!!) I forgot the feeling in your bum when you push, it feels like you are pushing a bowling ball out of your bum!!!! I thought it was going to pop lol.

I really listened to midwife this time (after 2nd degree tear with Tyler due to pushing too strong too soon a few times). I stopped pushing when they said, I did little pushed when she said and big pushes when she said....ended up with some grazing so no stitching :-))))) still sore but much better than being stitched!!

After head was out the body was pushed out in next contraction ♥ they passed her through my legs to see her and pick her up. I rolled over to cuddle her and wait for cord to stop pulsing before they cut it. Then they collected some blood from it to get bubs blood type (because I am negative i would need another anti d shot if she had positive blood type). Eventually the placenta was ready to birth and once that was out I had a big clot and some blood gush out which put me borderline hemorrhage (sp?) so was a bit weak yesterday. Had bloods taken this morning to check my levels.

After that it was just a matter of enjoying snuggles with little Lexi, gave her a feed, then got up to have a shower and clean myself up a bit :-)

So really was only in real strong pain from about 7.30/8am-birth at 9.37 :-)))
Oh and stats were 7pd9oz (3425g) which is smack bang in the middle of the boys weights, head circ was 34cm, and she was 53cm long (cooper was 52, Tyler was 51 so she's taller than them at this stage).

Hope you enjoyed xx

And some pics, just a link to some i did and shared on FB as i can't remember the site i used to use to post pics up here!!

Congratulations on the safe arrival of Lexi. It sounds like a fantastic birth, apart from the blood loss at the end. Hope you are recovering well
