I am going to a high tea in a little over a week for a friend who is getting married soon.

I have only just realised I have NOTHING to wear to it! I am usually the one that turns up in jeans and a nice top (well I would now I have nice tops to wear wink.gif ) but I really, really don't want to wear jeans, however I am stuck, I was thinking of a knee length skirt, but don't know where to even start. I have had a look through the birdsnest site but nothing really jumped out at me.

I am guessing I will probably need a top to go with it to. Anyone got any ideas for an outfit???

I'm going to a high tea tomorrow for a friend's 30th birthday and was planning to wear a dress. It's a nice excuse to get dressed up smile.gif

I recently bought a dress from Target that is nice, and I think will do the trick! Their clothes a nice, durable and not so expensive that if something happens to them while I'm at work that I would be upset. Diana Ferrari has some lovely stuff too.

Do you have a slip dress you can throw a nice top over?

I was going to suggest Target too. They have some nice stuff in at the moment. It's difficult to recommend anything specific without knowing your style, shape and colour preferences.

Target just released some really pretty dresses from Roberto Cavalli on 31st October - although I'm not sure if they are still available. Maybe there might be something there you like?

If not, you could suss out the Westfield Site where you can browse all sorts of clothing types from lots of different vendors on the one site. You might find something you like there?

My Target has plenty of the Roberto Cavalli range smile.gif I snapped up the tuxedo jacket today (love it!) even though it was sold out online.

I would personally do a wrap dress (the Target Roberto Cavalli range does have some cute ones) or as SEA suggested Diana Ferrari is great for a nice wrap dress.

I also like to wear fuller girly knee length skirts for High Teas - Cue has nice ones. Otherwise Portmans normally has some lovely feminine stuff smile.gif

So surprisingly I was successful at the shops today!!! The Target I went to had no Roberto Cavelli at all left sad.gif Next stop was Events where I got this -> high tea dress. I am a shorty so it comes to my knees.
I also got a dress for the wedding -> dress in a Champagne colour.

Anyone want to give me ideas for shoes and accessories for either??? What colour shoes should I go for? And what colour purse/clutch should I go for, for the wedding?
