I'm an MC at a wedding early next year - and they want games.

In addition, the games have to be 'not lame' and they can't include the 'guess the groom by feeling the leg' or the 'raise the shoe' game, as both have been done in previous weddings with all the same guests.

I am at a complete loss.

I was thinking maybe something to do with a treasure hunt by representatives from each table to organise which order the tables go to the buffet...

Any other ideas?

The only game I've ever seen at a wedding is where all the married couples stand up and the MC calls out numbers and if you haven't been married that long, you're out. The aim is to find the longest married couple in the room and at the wedding I saw it at, the prize was the bride's bouquet.

I am throwing a wedding shower for my best friend in April. We are going to play the alphabet game with weddings. I need something related to a wedding for all the letters of the alphabet.

Hi lawler

There are some bridal shower game ideas here, but would love to hear anymore you come up with!

I am a wedding addict.  Since 1998 I have published over 3000 articles on everything and anything to do with weddings.  I love weddings, I love writing about weddings, talking about weddings, going to weddings, planning weddings, discussing weddings, helping people plan weddings, talking to people planning weddings...yes as I said I am a wedding addict.

Thanks Tory! I can't believe I didn't think to search i-do *facepalm*

We've got a couple of games - I've got a pile of little teeny smiggle type pegs and we'll be blindfolding the bride and hiding them on the groom - the internet calls it "Russian hands and Roman fingers"

We've got a 'mystery box challenge' - my husband has purchased a pile of modelling balloons and pipecleaners, and the table that makes the best sculpture in 10 minutes gets to go to the buffet first (the bride and groom are the judges, so I suspect that their table will probably win).

My sister and I also made a guest book which uses 'mad-libs' - "Hi, my name is _____ and I'm feeling _____!" sort of thing. It looks awesome.

We also have some daggy presents to give to the bride and groom. We were going to do a quiz with a few couples, but we've now discovered there are a LOT of speeches, and we don't want the evening to drag out on our behalf!

Now that the wedding is close, I'm worried that everyone will hate the games we've planned (wedding games aren't my kind of thing so I feel like I may be reading the concept a bit wrong) but she wanted games, so games she shall get!!!
