Come on Girls!

What songs did you have at your wedding? What are you thinking of having? What would you have now if you could pick?

This a thread to share all our different song choices and suggestions!!!

I am thinking of having "Need Your Love" by Temper Trap as my Recessional and maybe "I Do" by Colbie Caillat for the Bridal Party Entrance.... THoughts?

Can't wait to see what we come up with!

We had Bridge Over Troubled Waters as we were signing the registry - for our own reasons.

My wedding was 4 years ago but I loved all of the music (obviously, I picked it wink.gif ) and I still listen to the playlist often. My favourites were;

- When You Say You Love Me by Josh Groban (I walked down the aisle to this song)
– How Do You Fall In Love by Alabama (Bridal Waltz)
– I Loved Her First by Heartland (Father/daughter dance)

There were lots more but those three I would choose again and again, especially I Loved Her First, such a beautiful song!!

What songs are you specifically wanting suggestions for?? I had too many to list them all smile.gif

Andrew and his guys walked up the aisle to We Will Rock You (I think) played on the bagpipes by the Red Hot Chilli Pipers (it was something by then anyway)
I and my girls walked up to one of the instrumentals on The Corrs first album.
I honestly have no idea if there was any music playing while we signed the registry or walked back down the aisle.
Our first dance was Come Away With Me by Norah Jones, because we could waltz to it, and my dance with Dad (Andrew danced with his Mum and we invited everyone to join us) was to The Galaxy Song by Monty Python

There are some great songs there - I love the idea of bagpipes!!

I am not really looking for a specific song suggestion - just curious - there don't seem to be as many of these threads on here anymore smile.gif

I would have loved a live bagpiper but it was one more thing to organise and pay for and we didn't really need it.

– I Loved Her First by Heartland (Father/daughter dance)

We had this one for father/daughter dance. I bawled my eyes out - and our photographer STILL has that photo on his website as advertisment laugh.gif

I walked in to "Songbird" Eva Cassidy. Signed the registery to "Arithmetic" - Brooke Frazer, and our first dance was to "Cowboy Take Me Away" - Dixie Chicks

"It's impossible" said pride.
"It's risky" said experience.
"It's pointless" said reason.
"Give it a try" whispered the heart...

We had to meet the requirements of our chosen church which was only religous or instrumental music. I chose to use a piano concerto composed by my cousin for my walk up the aisle and the Forrest Gump Theme (you know, the one with the white feather floating?...) for our exit. We just played more of my cousin's cd for the signing.

DH actually chose ALL the music for the reception and did a very good job. Our first dance was to '(I'm the one who wants to) Be With You' by Mr Big.

Our wedding was three years ago in May.
Every time I go to a wedding now I hear popular music and wish it was around when we got married! But I don't think the core songs would have different.

I walked down the aisle to the piano version of a song from Amelie.
We walked back down the aisle to Around the world by daft punk (as we were leaving after the wedding on a round the world, six month honeymoon).
We entered the reception to Tic Toc by Kei$ha (TBH I would probably change this to the power of love from the back to the future movies...)
Our first dance was Better Together by Jack Johnson
And my daddy daughter dance was Hero by ? I'm not sure...

I think I would have had some cheesier music with Disney songs/movie songs that make me laugh. I was pretty worried about looking silly! :-)

Our second baby is due mid April

I married my best friend on May 2 2010.

Our beautiful little Imogen is 2
