Just wondering what everyone thinks of colored jeans?

I bought a lovely light blue pair from Crossroads the other day, can't wait to wear them. I did a double take when I first saw them in the store as I thought they were maternity jeans with the elastic bit at the top. But the lady told me they were JEGGINGS! I never thought I would wear skinny jeans, or tights, let alone JEGGINGS, but they are soooo comfy, plus no muffin top and the elastic is very forgiving on my mummy tummy! So yes, I am a fan now. smile.gif

I saw them in the window of Crossroads, but in cobalt blue, and my first though was how comfy would they be?!

I have a maroon pair from Portmans, I think PennyP has some in the same colour? I bought them on a whim (and a discount!) because I was sick of wearing different styles of blue denim all the time for my casual clothes. It's a good colour because it's not too out there and still coordinates with a lot of stuff I have. I think I'd like a peach or periwinkle pair for spring but I worry I'd look silly in them.

Windsor - I gave them a test run today and can vouch they are great. Really comfy, like wearing yoga pants, which is what I've been living in. I wore them with a stripey top so I felt a little bit stylish in them laugh.gif

Peach colour sounds nice...a white or grey top might go well with it.

(Ok, I have a serious case of wanting to be a princess...)

Again, back to Portmans, they have some lovely pastel stuff (not sure if I want to do the light blue leopard print though...) http://www.portmans.com.au/lookbook

Snap Windsor - yep I have the maroon jeans too and I wear them alot. I love them with an oversized baby doll button up shirt with the jeans tucked into biker style ankle boots. Casual and fun smile.gif Periwinkle colour sounds funky!

Crisis - that is great that the jeggings are comfy, bonus!

THanks for the blog love Windsor wub.gif I have been so busy and exhausted I just didn't have the energy but feeling more into it again now smile.gif

I'm glad you updated your blog too, A!

Nice top, Windsor smile.gif

I had some birthday money to spend, so hit the city today. I struggle to find pants long enough, so was very happy to find some black work pants at Portmans. I also got a pair of black Levi Curve ID jeans at Myer for 40% off!

I'm still after some tops that I can wear now with a cardigan or jacket, and also in summer. The bright blues that are around at the moment are gorgeous. I really need to funk up my wardrobe with some colour. There has been too much black/navy/cream over the past year or two!

Styling You is a really great Australian blog. I love looking at it for inspiration, and it has really helped me with accessorising.

Coloured jeans look fab at any age in my opinion. Team them with a floral top and you're in spring fashion.

There's some great ideas on that Portmans link Windsor. The yellow jeans looks so pretty, but I think you need to be stick thin and six foot tall to pull that off!

SEA, how about some nice or even plain coloured singlets? You can wear them under cardis and also with skirts or shorts on their own in the summer. I bought a nice sequined top from Mix Apparel for EIGHT bucks...gotta love a bargain!

You MUST be a good half a foot taller than me then. Anything oversized makes me look like an Olsen twin in the bag lady stage...

SEA, I did really like the yellow ones too. I got my maroon ones for $40 so I guess that's not too much to throw away on a fad?...

Great idea Crisis, thanks smile.gif

Windsor $40 is awesome! I bought some skinnies from Cotton On for the same price. It doesn't matter really if they only last one season as it's not so upsetting!

One thing I'm not a massive fan of is lots of the fabrics around at the moment. They're really synthetic, and it gets quite hot here in summer and I don't want to be stinky at work!

I love pretty much most of what Kate wears. Helps that she is gorgeous and would look good in a paper bag. tongue.gif

I haven't worn coloured jeans for years. I'm definately stuck in a black/white/cream rut I think. blush.gif

I love Kate too smile.gif She always looks lovely. I love seeing stuff inspired by her wardrobe in the shops.

I hit the shops again today and bought two nice t-shirts from Sportsgirl (white and charcoal), and a black singlet top and emerald green cardigan from Sussan. Equip had a wall of '3 for $10' deals and I got three bracelet sets - some pieces in each set I can't see myself wearing, but there are lots of other lovely bits and pieces. I find bangles safer to wear than dangly earrings and necklaces with Little Miss Octopus Arms!

I love cheap accessories!!! Louisa always gets me. Cait has heaps of them in her dress up box atm though. She pilfers them when I'm straightening my hair of a morning because I don't want to put the iron down on the bench to deal with her!

No shopping from me this weekend (well for clothes etc anyway hehe) but loving hearing about everyone else's stuff!
