Thats great about your scan Lizzie.. tomorrow!! how exciting I can't wait to hear all about it! Why did the Dr change their mind? oh well who care why, I bet you can't wait till tomorrow! biggrin.gif

Good on you for changing to Jan/feb group, I think that that is all of us otherwise and some are on the edge of Feb anyway.

laugh.gif laugh.gif Funny on the food baby, I had a massive food baby after dinner last night!, I just feel so bloated particularly towards the end of the day, and soooo thirsty, I can stop drinking and my mouth is always dry.

Well went back to work last night and lets just say I am very glad that I only have another 5 shifts and then get holidays! I just feel vague, and soo tired by about 8 pm I just wanted to get into bed with my patient laugh.gif
It does worry me feeling vague like that at work, I mean these people are really really sick, and I am resposible for making sure they don't die, I have to do a lot of critical thingking in my job, and the whole shift last night I felt like my head was under water! laugh.gif ph34r.gif hopefully the two and a half weeks holiday will do me good!

Planning to go to the farm and tell my parents the news tomorrow, I am excited about that, there is not much longer that I will be able to hide it from my mum, she asks to many questions! laugh.gif

I hope that everyone else is going ok and that you all ahve a lovely day biggrin.gif

anotherbub4us - I hear you on the worry!! I worry every day, all day ph34r.gif

MindyT - I hear ya on the boob thing. The veins in mine are getting more obvious now and they seem bigger too. Nothing much but I know hubby is looking forward to it biggrin.gif So glad your blood are looking great. Lucky you haveing a scan so soon. Think I'll have to wait another 3-4 weeks being in the country but oh well.
I hear ya on the thirst. I always drink lots of water but much more now.
Holidays sounds amazing. Wish it was me!!

Lizzie1 - Thanks blush.gif I think I'll wait with a ticker till the scan too. Just in case my dates are out but since I know when I ovulated I think I'm pretty spot on. My nipples get darker too. Funny how it takes over everything blink.gif

AFM - I'm still worried. Can't wait till a scan, morning sickness or anything to make me feel more pregnant! A tummy would be even better biggrin.gif
I'm slowly remembering all the things you can and can't do, eat and so forth. I have been running 3-4 times a week for 1 1/2 years now so I can keep doing that however I'm also a very keen netballer. I was realy getting into it this year but now I don't want to play anymore. I know I probably could but I don't want to take the risk. I'm a "give it all" kind of player and I know I wont be giving it 100% from now on.
So I need en excuse. I have a knee injury I did back at training in March I can use as an excuse and I'll use my doctors appointment on Monday as the reason why I can't play for the next month. Then a follow up appointment and another month of and then I'll be 12 weeks.

I just know they are all going to be suspisious because they know we are TTC. Oh well. What can I do. I'm not telling anyone apart from family till 12 wwwks and we're hoping not to tell family till 10 weeks. Maybe even 12.

Aparts from all that I feel good. Tired and a bit empty headed but nothing major pregnancy related.

Oh a word of advise if you would like to try and avoid stretch marks. Last pregnancy I used Bio Oli from the day I got the first positive test till the day I gave birth. I used it on my boobs, tummy, hips, butt and back. I never got a single stretch mark and I was BIG!! Not one!!! I've started the same again. Hopefully it works again tongue.gif

** Stalking **

Congratulations Mrs AUSDK! Wonderful news smile.gif
As for the boob thing, my boobs were REALLY veiny not long after our BFP. They stayed like that (and got worse) for the next 5 weeks or so, and then settled down again. Now they are back! haha
In terms of the sport & the excuse. I was exactly the same. I play hockey, so it's quite a physical sport & obviously not recommended to play while pregnant. Ever since we got married the girls in my team have been expecting us to have a baby.. so there was no way I would ever be able to hide it from them. I ended up playing until 10 weeks (Dr said it was fine, as your uterus is down so low it's protected by your pelvis bone) and then faked an injury for 2 weeks before I told them at 12 weeks.

Oh, and I can 2nd the use of BioOil. I had a few stretch marks on my hips before I even fell pregnant and pretty much used BioOil since I got my BFP. I've noticed that they have faded abit, and I'm hoping I won't get any new ones.. fingers crossed!

Hope you are all well smile.gif

KiJo - I'll have a chat to my doctor on Monday. I want to keep playing but just know I'd never forgive myself if i fell over or someone hit me. In our Association netball is very much a contact sport!!! We have some very nasty players???

Better get a move on. Almost home time!

I have found I get puffed easy in the last couple of days. Riding around town with DD in the bike and to and from Daycare and work I puff a bit more. I rode my bike till I was over 8 months last time and count on doing it this time biggrin.gif

Hello ladies smile.gif i wandered onto your forum and hope you wouldn't mind if i could join you?
i just found out yesterday that i'm pregnant, and the estimated due date would be 1st Feb.

a little about me...i have nearly 5yo daughter and have been trying for 4yrs for another, and ended up needing IVF, which this is the result of. to say we are over the moon would be an understatement lol...that mixed with the fear that we have to trudge through another 8wks is a little scarey, but for now, i'm excited! biggrin.gif

symptoms so far in this short time, incredibly sore boobs and lots of wind (very unlike me i might add).
hope to get to know you all on this very exciting journey. DH won't let me tell anyone except my mum, so this forum is as good as it gets for a while.

hope everyone is progressing nicely. have a good weekend! smile.gif

Welcome Hillsary, how wonderful for you x

Lissie- Is your scan today? If so, how did you go ?

Hope everyone is else feeling good !

Oh and re: stretch marks, I honestly think if you're going to get them you're going to get them...
I didnt get any with either of my two but I know plenty of people who tried all the rights things and still ended up with them... Look at your mum, hereditary plays a big part I think smile.gif

BBL xx

Someone suggested starting a list smile.gif

Im not adding due date just yet as wont know properly till first scan, going to ask for quantitve hcg test when i go to the doctors on Wednesday for all the blood tests to see if they can give a more definite due date, will just see

As for how im feeling, having occassional waves of nausea which seem to be kept better under wraps if i have food constantly in me, i also have bad gas but always had that in my pregnancies and constantly tripping to the loo, oh and keep yawning but so far not exhausted that i cant do my daily tasks, although if i sit for a minte my eyes get really heavy and i could just go to sleep

hillsary welcome and a massive congratulations to you! biggrin.gif how wonderful that you have finally got your dream after all of this time I am so happy for you. I agree that this first bit is super scary, though my current game plan is to look after myself, take it easy and think positive.. there is not a lot else we can do really is there?

Lizzie how was your scan? I can't wait to hear all about it x

We went and told my parents today, they were so.freaking.excited! it was so cute wub.gif I have warned them that it is still early days, but this will be their first grandchild, so they are beyond excited already laugh.gif

Glad to hear that everyone is feeling ok so far, I am pretty good, but get really tired towards the end of the day (and really angry if I don't get food when I am hungry laugh.gif laugh.gif )

So freezing here tonight, I am about to curl up on the couch to watch a movie..

hillsary - Congratulations!!! How wonderful you're finally expecting a little miracle after such a long journey smile.gif

anotherbub4us - Symptoms sounds great. I find symptoms very reasuring smile.gif

MindyT - how wonderful your parents are so excited blush.gif It's such an amazing thing to share blush.gif

AFM - I'm nervous. Have no symptoms at all apart from breakout on my back (had this last time) still a little bit of sore boobs but that's it.
I did a test yesterday and the test line came up straight away before the control line and was darker. Reassuring but i have been here before. Last time it was like this and ended in a m/s at 6w6d. So we are not telling anyone till at least 8-10 weeks. Not even parents.
When preganant with DD same thing but started feeling sick at 5w6d. I kept a diary. Best thing I ever did!!!
As far as I can guess I'm 5 weeks on Tuesday so I'lkl keep waiting for the sickness to hit during the next week. If not I'll be starting to prepare for the worst.
I know all pregnancies are different but I also know how hardbreaking a m/s is.
I have a doctors appointment tomorrow. I know he'll tell me to tkae it one day at a time but at least I can get a referal for a dating scan at around 7-8 weeks. Till then we'll just hold tight.

I've decided to stop with netball and heavy lifting. I do A LOT of that (think I'm strong and can do everything by myself blink.gif ) but I'll keep running and borrowed a treadmill. To cold to run outside biggrin.gif

I still feel "pains" in my lower tummy. Stretching or "implantation" or whatever you want to call it. I just take it easy and take one day at a time. Hate the first 12 weeks!!!!
Next week it busy and will go quick but then we're only half way!!!!

Sorry for the me post. I'm worried and need to tell someone!!!!!

Snap mrs audk- im also 5weeks tommorow. Im sorry you are so worried, i have never had a m/c once i got well past my af due date(i had a missed m/c the month before we conceived our son, i had all the symptoms and very faint bfp as well ad af was 3 days late) but i can tell you im still stressed, everytime i go to the toilet im scared ill see blood ao i can only imagine howscared you must be. This pregnancy so far is just like the one with my son, pretty easy so far, with my daughteri had dry reaching but like you i think that didnt kick in till 6 weeks (it does say 6 weeks for symptoms to kick in is normal) so i think its too early to judge yet, lets see where we are this time next week smile.gif

Off for the usual barrage of blood tests on wednesday when my doctor is in, im so anxious last time i nearly passed out with all the blood they took sad.gif

Hi ladies,

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Hi Hillsary! Welcome and congratulations! The more that join us the better!

Mrs AUSDK - it's a awful feeling isn't it? The problem is there is nothing anyone can do about it and I'm sure that we are all feeling the same way! I've been totally paranoid! I am now trying not to read too much on the net ph34r.gif which is what I have been doing and I'm just worring myself way too much.

I have decided to continue to play netball, both my DP and I play on the same team and it would be way too obvious if I was to suddenly stop playing, however I think I'm going to try and stay in the goals and try not to get too pushy... and to play against a girl each time instead of a boy! Hopefully it'll all be ok.... may have to think of a injury at some stage!

Mindy - Thats so cute about your parents - I'm so glad they were happy for you! So exciting isn't it!?

So I had my scan on saturday! It was really good and we saw our little baby! wub.gif Well actually it looked more like a grub but it was still very cute tongue.gif It has a little heart beat betweeen 120 - 130 which I was really happy and very relieved to see! I am as I suspected and 6 weeks and 5 days today... with a edd of 16th Jan.

So now to just wait for another 6 weeks and hope that everything is still going well at that stage! I will be very glad to get out of this first 12 weeks!

Maybe we can just add names if no dates as yet?

2013 Jan/Feb Baby due dates:

Lizzie Oh I am so happy for you that your scan went well and you got to see that little heart beat! laugh.gif laugh.gif at it looking like a grub!

Mrs AUSDK I think that we are all in the same boat with the worrying, though things must be particularly difficult for you having had a previous m/c sad.gif
I think that one day at a time is good advice, I was really worried in the begining, but then realised that that couldn't be good for the baby so have made a concious decision to try to stress less.. I would be lying if i said I was completely worry free, but I am trying biggrin.gif
Still if I could click my fingers and be at 12 weeks I would in a second ph34r.gif

anotherbub I hope it all goes ok with the blood tests, try and make sure you have had plent to eat and drink before you go in, and if you tell them that you are worried about fainting they can do it with you lying down which should help..

Well not a lot going on here, 4 shifts left of work and then I am on 2 and a half weeks holidays. I am so excited because I haven't had leave in sooo long, and leave at my work is booked out 6 or months in advance blink.gif wacko.gif (I booked this in November last year blink.gif ) So I can't believe how well the timing has worked out!
Still feeling not too bad, boobs are insanely sensitive/sore, still haveing the odd cramps/streaching pains, and in the evenings super tired.. I have been in bed by about 8:30 most nights ph34r.gif but nothing that I can't handle, and it is all just a reminder of the little person growing inside me
(or people, but I have to wait another week and a bit to find out how many there are unsure.gif tongue.gif )

Have a lovely day everyone

oh and I will put myself on the list and add my due date in after our scan on the 7th

Mindy- perfect timing with your hols ! bubba must have known exactly when to come along

Anotherbubforus- oh sounds terrible nearly fainting getting your bloods taken sad.gif
Hope you feel better this time around

MrsAUSDK - Taking one day at a time sounds like a good way to go.
I didnt start really feeling anything till around 6 weeks...

Ive been feeling terrible during the day and even at night ! YUK !
Not enough to vomit but a sick feeling all day, also very tired in the arvo...
Cant wait for the first trimester to be over so I can hopefully start feeling good again !

thanks everyone for the warm welcome smile.gif
AUSDK i'm with you on the worry train! i'm the same, each time i go to the toilet, i still have to double check to make sure this is really happening.
Lizzie, that's so exciting that you saw your little bub!

AFM i had my ivf 'official' blood test today, and i am officially 4wks and 2 days pregnant. i have to have bloods every week through the clinic, just to check hcg and progesterone levels and we have an ultra sound book for the 19th june. i will be 7.5wks then.
hard to believe it's really happening. i seemed to have occupied myself with thoughts of a quick renovation before bub arrives, even though it's really early! we live in a very small house with my nearly 5yo daughter and 17yo step son, so surely an extension out the back with a lovely large living area isn't out of the question? wink.gif ...it may be overload for my poor DH lol.

on another note, my hcg levels for 4wks were 862. does anyone know if this is high/low or normal? i have the thought in the back of my mind that our little embryo may have split as this is often the case in ivf, and am wondering if you can tell anything by the hcg level?
anyway, hope you've all had a good day. here's to lots of nausea and sore boobs to reassure us all! smile.gif
