Hi Ladies,

Well I've been putting off creating this thread for a little while because I've been so nervous, but now that I think there might be a few of us I thought I might as well!

So come on January Mummies - come and join me! wub.gif

I guess I am joining you biggrin.gif
I would never have started this group.. far too much of a chicken! and it still Just doesn't seem real..
Lizzie lets hope that some more of our TTC group join us soon, and hopefully some second (or more) times mums join us too, I have so many questions and with us both being pregnant for the first time I am not sure how much use we will be to each other laugh.gif laugh.gif

I have been getting some mild cramps that have been freaking me out.. google says it is normal.. but I still don't like it dry.gif

I also have bronchitis wacko.gif was so sick last night, and awake all night coughing, had to get antibiotics this morning, I tripple checked that they are safe, and while I would prefer not to take them, I can't see this clearing up on it's own and pneumonia is not a great option..

Thanks for being brave and starting the group Lizzie wub.gif

**stalking** Good luck to both of you. I keep swearing I will stay out of these mums groups until I can finally join one, but I can't help but check in on people who were in the TTC cafe for long enough for me to get to "know" them!

I hope you guys have safe and healthy and most importantly uneventful pregnancies. wub.gif

Oh, and I hope the antibiotics clear you up Mindy; I had a recurring chest infection a couple of years ago for about two or three months, so I know how annoying that kind of thing is! dry.gif

Yay bubbaThree congratulations! So happy to have a small group forming!

I am 31 Hubby is 34, This is our first baby, we tried for 12 months to get to this stage so while we are super excited, we are also very nervous.
We had lots of ups and downs, and issues with my cycles in that time. I have a prescription here for fertility meds, that I was going to have to start this cycle.. though I got my BFP instead biggrin.gif
I feel so amazingly lucky...
As we were already seeing a fertility specialist, I get a scan at 7 weeks to (hopefully) see the heart beat
That is booked in for the 7th of June, so not too far away.
I am glad to have a third time mum in here, and i may bombard you with questions laugh.gif I have realised that I have wanted this for so long, but really don't have a clue about any of it! laugh.gif

Oh and my EDD is the 24th of January..

How are you Lizzie?

SarieleThanks for popping in lovely, I know how hard it can be seeing other get their BFP's so it really is appreciated! I will be cheering you on and hope that you can join us super soon x x

You will see the heartbeat at 7 weeks
I was worried I woudnt see bubba at my dating scan as I thought I was earlier then I was, and at 6 weeks and 4 days I saw a little bean with a good strong heartbeat of 130pm

Ask away, although I dont really feel that experienced laugh.gif

One of my other babies was due the 25th January

Sariele - I also hope you can join in here too wub.gif

Thanks BubbaThree How exciting that you got to see a little heart beat!! I guess that you don't really want to reveal a lot about your self because you are anon.. and i am looking forward to finding out who the 'real' you is..
And since you offered.. yes I do have questions laugh.gif also any of our friendly stalkers are welcome to answer..
Ok so the first is that I first got my bfp on wednesday.. super super light it got clearly darker till friday then I skipped yesterday and did one today and it is the same as fridays one..so of course I worry wacko.gif
The line started to appear before the control line, and is very clearly visable.. though it is still not as dark as the control line and I thought that is would be by now.. though I guess that it would depend a bit on when exactly eveything happened. I had bloods on Friday but the FS is closed on Fridays so wont get my result till tommorow, and I guess that will only be a base line number I won't know much more till after that...

As well as that I have had a fair bit of cramping on and off, very mild, but feels like Af pain starting and then just goes away.. I know that is can be normal but has anyone actually had it?? and also when I went to the loo last night there were some tiny pink streaks of blood in the cm, only a tiny amount and only once. again I know that this can be normal..
I think that I have pretty much just answered my own questions laugh.gif ph34r.gif wacko.gif I just need some words of reassurance that these things are 'normal'

Still have bronchitis and while I think that the antibiotics have helped to clear it up, I have this awful dry hacking cough and have spent most of the last 3 days on the couch with my head over a bowl of steam.. everything hurts from coughing.. if I am not significantly better by tomorrow I will go back to the Dr as I can't face 12 hour shifts feeling like this wacko.gif

Wow sorry for the all about me post blush.gif Hope you are all enjoying your weekend biggrin.gif

Hey Mindy - the spotting could be implantation bleeding same with the cramps. Could also be if you have been coughing like a looney you need to brace your stomach against it? If you had bloods last week, you could ask for repeats monday or tuesday and the numbers should be doubling away so you could get a better idea?

Mindy- it was lovely seeing the baby and heartbeat, also when I do reveal you may not know who I am laugh.gif

Honestly hunni, I would stop testing.... Trust in the lines you first saw, you are pregnnat, try not to over think and let these next few weeks flow by, being happy that 'you are' pregnant wub.gif
I tested once 2 and a half weeks ago and that was it. Booked myself in to docs for bloods, had them done a week after, then booked in for dating scan.
A line doesnt lie, no matter what shade it is...
Cramping is very normal, Im sure Ive had it with all three. With my first I even had what I thought was my AF, but I was actually 4-5 weeks pregnant, so I had no idea I was pregnant till 9 weeks !

I really hope the antibiotics work soon and that you're feeling normal again !
Bronchitis sucks !

Hi KiJo and Zoo Bird- congrats on your BFPS wub.gif

Right you are.. see I just need a voice of reason laugh.gif No more testing for me! I guess cause it has taken a while I do really love seeing that second line come up blush.gif luckliy I used my last test this morning!
Thanks for the reassurance on the cramping.. I knew that is was probably ok, but it is nice to actually have someone tell me so..x

Morning Ladies!

Sorry I was a little absent over the weekend - it was great didn't really do much at all! smile.gif

Mindy and BubbaThree I'm sooooo glad that you have come to join me! wub.gif I was super super nervous starting this thread as I didn't want to jinx myself, but hey what will happen will happen and it's great to have people to talk to!

I'm 32 and my partner is 32 as well, we've been together for almost 12 years now, although not married. We bought our first home just last year which was really exciting and this year is proving to be even more exciting!
Currently my EDD is the 4th January, however due to having long cycles I think this is out and should be more like the 16th Jan.... I guess we'll just wait till the scan to see.

My doctor wouldn't give me a dating scan so I have to wait until 12 weeks...... which feels like forever away! I have however done a sneaky.... there is a company that offers early scans for free if you are less than 12 weeks, basicly it's at a training place and you have 4 doctors "practice" doing the scan on you (only external!).... so I'm going in for one of those in just 2 weeks time! You get photos of the baby and to see all the normal stuff, you just have to get it done 4 times laugh.gif they even pay you..... so I figure as long as I don't take the date from that... seeing as they may get it wrong just learning, then it should be good. I'm really just hoping to see a heartbeat as I'm sure that will make me feel a bit better and like this whole thing is real!

Mindy I have had cramping too and like you googled it to find that it's pretty normal, I'm glad that it has stopped over the last couple of days. I also have to confess to doing a test just this weekend ph34r.gif It was one of the digital ones and I really wanted to see the number come up! Anyway all was well when it came up with 3+ on it. blush.gif

Hi to everyone else who has dropped in! Thanks for saying hi! smile.gif
