I'd love a trench! My winter wardrobe is designed for Sydney, now we're in Canberra I'm finding that all my 'winter' things aren't suitable and it's not even the end of autumn! I used to wear lots of dresses/tights and flats but now I need pants (and maybe thermals! ohmy.gif) to keep me warm enough!

Have had fun building a cart on the Portmans website though. That's probably my 'style' but I usually end up going to Target to buy for the price.

Have also come across this sale list site, good to check before you head out shopping maybe? http://www.salestoyou.com.au/

I found a trench at Dotti at DFO reduced to $19.95 a couple of months ago. Needless to say I snapped that bargain up!
Of course, I won't be wearing it until around mid-July, but it'll come in very handy down at dad's. It's a thinner one, so more designed for a Brisbane winter, but a bit of layering and a scarf will warm it up.

Today's outfit was 'Playground Chic' - a long orangey-pink tank with knee length harem pants, and black thongs.

And here's some coat porn:
Quite like this in the mustard

Very nice!

Very versatile

Think I may *need* this one

I'm loving all the new stuff everyone has found and to see so much action in this section! smile.gif

I visited the Vic Market in Melbourne yesterday. Hadn't been for years and stumbled across a stall I'd seen advertised on TV last year with gorgeous things Airllywood

I grabbed these bargains:
Charcoal Woollen Wrap that I'll give a beating this winter with jeans, wide black belt & boots

Black Dress to wear summer or winter with leggings or tights, boots & a cute cami underneath;

Also snagged a bargain charcoal woollen tube skirt from Ginger Tree outlet for $10.

And, finally this fur trimmed cardi last week from Jigsaw to wear with some checked tailored pants for work Fur Cardi

I adore that wrap, Drom! I think I may need to hunt down a couple for myself - they'd be perfect for the winter I'm headed to, and could double as a BFing cover laugh.gif

Anyone on the hunt for a winter coat - check the Portm@ns website, under the 'special offers' section. Lots of lovely coats on sale!

Wow that wrap certainly is a bargain at that price Drom! I love all of your purchases smile.gif thanks for sharing!

My new addition today is a pair of earrings that Elka (4yrs old) picked out at her school's Mothers Day stall for me... they are beigy gold colour dangly beads (not my usual style!) and she wants me to wear them to work tomorrow laugh.gif so now I have to find an outfit to match around them.

All this talk of coats! It has been so hot here in Qld! Although I think we are getting a cold change tomorrow..

See, we're -4 this morning. I'm beginning to think autumn/winter fashion doesn't matter so much when I just want to wear this all day
http://www.thenorthf...variationId=EY0 ...
or a Snuggie...

Today is dark brown knee high boots, skinny jeans, long sleeved burnt orange jersey top, beige leather jacket and scarf. AND gloves to walk the dog this morning I think!

I love that cardigan Drom. That's my style.

That coat is kind of like a dress, Windsor!? I have never seen anything like it before!

I tried on a million things at Cue earlier today, I think the sales assistant rubbed her hands with glee when she saw me coming but must have been bitterly disappointed when I only bought a shirt. tongue.gif I loved a couple of pairs of pants but I need an in between size, sadly. Tried on 3 dresses as well, I like them all but they were all a bit funny around the waist. My body is certainly strange since I had my baby. The rest of Myer was pretty disappointing really, not a lot that I liked there.

So then I went to Target and scored with a pair of work pants. I know I said I wouldn't buy cheap pants but I have tried on SO many pairs of pants and gotten nowhere. I don't know what is up with sizing because I tried on 4 pairs in Target the same size, one fit really well and the other 3 swam on me!. Then I went to Portmans again and tried on more pants, same thing with needing an in between size! And I tried on the gorgeous trench coat but it was a bit disappointing on, it was still nice but kind of swamped me a bit. I don't think I am tall enough to pull it off.

Piper I hate it when sizes differ so much from store to store and even in the same store!

Found this cute cream woollen cape in Target for $47.20 for those who might be interested. smile.gif

Nice Drom!

40% off at Forever New on all red ticket items for the next week - including online purchases...

I totally agree about sizing!! SO annoying! I hate how you can never know what size to buy or even try on, makes it really painful when shopping with kids as you have to head to the change rooms with so the range of sizes to save a million trips rolleyes.gif

Now Drom you requested a photo of me trying to work my Mothers Day earrings laugh.gif and I will post it, only in the hope, that others will reciprocate in the future with pics of their outfits!! Pics are always fun smile.gif don't leave me out here alone people tongue.gif wink.gif

So am wearing a long line light cardigan from Dotti, taupe and cream striped baby doll style blouse, and cream scarf, with chocolate pants and charcoal heels.. and of course the dangly earrings chose by my 4 year old for Mothers Day cool.gif
