Liam sits still but that said outside he is fine standing - he only is allowed to go outside when we go for day trips as the places we go have no toilets (its bush/beach area).

Eddie sat down for quite a while and then one day decided to stand up "like Daddy".

Ditto to this. Aidan just started standing up about a month after he was fully trained cause he wanted to be like daddy.

Forgot about this post.

Thanks for the replies. Liam does a bit of both these days, depends what mood he is in and if he needs to do a #2 at the same time.

Might start another post about our night time issues!!

I did try at first to get my son to pee standing - but it would never go straight into the bowl and would end up alll over the bathroom floor !! smile.gif

So yes... Sitting now. Does anyone have the same problem as me? Sometimes he wont want to go toilet so he will just pee his pants...!!!

Haven't started Seamus yet but we'll start with him sitting and he can progress to standing up when it suits him.

I have absolutely no issue whatsoever with kids peeing outside when they are at home (or out and about in an emergency). I am a country girl and as kids we always used to pee outside rather than heading all the way back to the house. Cate loves to pee outside (weird child) but she knows it's only to be done in the privacy of her own home and, obviously, it's more of a summer time deal.

I would much, much rather my child pee on the side of the road rather than putting a toilet trained child into a nappy. Cate would refuse a nappy anyways.
