Hi,

My Dr today suggested DHEA to help with egg quality for low AMH (low ovarian reserve). Willing to try anything at this point, just wondering if anyone had any experience with this? Any side effects? I heard it can make your skin bad and even have excess hair growth!
Just wondering is all, more pills to add to my collection!

To be honest I wasnt entirely sure what DHEA was so I googled it and there were quite a few studies which seem to say it works really well. Not having any personal experience with it or knowing anyone who has used it, I guess my main concern would be if there were any side effects from it and just how extensive the testing has been on it. Provided they were all good, and the FS thought it would definately be of benefit, I would probably go on their recommendation and try it

I've heard of it, but only via google searches for other things. I would secon what zoobird has said - if the side effects are likely to be manageable (well as much as any of these crazy hormones can be), an the doctor seems to know what s/he's on about, then it would be worth a try.

Good luck!

Thank you so much. I thought about it, I'd probably cut off my pinkie at this point to get a baby, I trust this new Dr so I have filled my script! Plus all the other pills recommended(mainly anti-oxidants)
Need to re talk through with DH, but looks like we are ready to start our IVF journey in June.
