Hi All,

I need some help with my bridesmaids bouquets. I am wearing a "champagne" strapless satin a-line gown with diamante features - it is called champagne but is closer to a latte colour.

I found gorgeous dark bridesmaids dresses that go really well with the colour of my dress, they are a deep purple, blue and almost burgundy ombre... will try to upload a picture.

My question is this: What flowers should the bridesmaids carry?

I am going with creamy david austin roses, peonies or lisianthus with a cymbidum orchids in a hand tied posy. I chose these as they will suit the style of my wedding and contrast against my dress.... I am thinking of maybe picking up the colour of my dress in the bridesmaids posies with some Julia Roses or similar? Any thoughts??

Thanks guys!!!

Mel x

Do you have pictures of the BM dresses? Maybe your BM's could have the same as you with a few iris' popped in to bring out the colour of their dresses?

Ok ladies, this is my bridesmaids dress:

IPB Image

I hope that works - I have the pic on my computer but don't know how to insert it so have just copied a link to the pic on the webpage!!

As I said, I am wearing a champagne dress but it is more like an oyster or light latte....

Any bouquet suggestions appreciated!

Hi, thanks for posting a pic of the Bridesmaid dresses, they look great smile.gif When I saw the colour I was reminded on a few years back when I was a Bridesmaid for a friend of mine and we wore very dark purple/ aubergine colour dresses. We had gorgeous boquets that had some small purple/ almost black colour berries in them that really brought out the colour of the dresses.... everyone complimented the colour of the dresses and said how lovely the flowers looked with them.

I can't find a pic from that wedding for some reason, but Here is a similiar boquet that shows what I mean with the berries. The example is quite simple but you could always create a more colourful version?

ETA: sorry I am having problems posting the link to the exact picture, but have a look at all the pics on the link that shows up... especially the ones about half way down with the white boquets with purple/ black berries... they are beautiful!

I don't know if you like lillies but there is a calla lily which is creamy color with a dark purple centre and I think a bouquet either entirely of these like This or with these used as an accent would look lovely.

Whilst I was looking for a pic of the lillies I found This bouquet too which I think would pick up all of the colours in your bridesmaids dresses and I love the feathers wub.gif

I had red, white and latte roses in my bouquets, and the latte roses were just beautiful. I think latte coloured roses would look gorgeous with your BM dresses, with maybe some white freesias as well? I also like truffles idea of the little deep purple berries, that would look lovely with latte roses and white freesia!

Yes, the latte roses and the freesia would look gorgeous... I adore that combo! Also, the exact pic I was referring to on the link is titled 'black and white winter wedding. The boquet there is just devine and the latte roses would go perfecly with it.

I also adore the boquet posted by HelsBels with the feathers... beautiful! I usually prefer a more 'traditional' boquet but that pic was just so stunning and would go perfectly with your Bridesmaid dresses! smile.gif
