Hi girls, mind if I join you?

I found out today that I'm pregnant, I'm thrilled to bits but a bit freaked out!

I've updated the list below, not sure how accurate my due date is as my cycles have been a bit unpredictable.

Looking forward to sharing the next 8 or so months with you.

Due Dates
Arabella - October 6th
Windsor - October 13th
FunkyMonkey - October 13th

Oh I'm so excited we have more OctoMums! (Not that I think any of us are planning 14... are you?...)

I do think that out of the 4 of us in here so far we're being very efficient by only having 2 EDD so far!

Due Dates
6th Oct - Arabella
6th Oct - CookiesandCream
13th Oct - Windsor
13th Oct - FunkyMonkey

Appointments
7th Feb - Windsor, GP appt to discuss care
23rd Feb - Windsor, ultrasound with FS (my Birthday!)

Called my FS this morning to ask what do I do now?! She is a gyno and FS but not Obs so will have to be referred on elsewhere. The receptionist said she would see me at 7wks for an ultrasound in her rooms (that's a whole 2 1/2 weeks away now!) and to get bloods done this arvo. Will have to go tomorrow though as I don't have a form with me. When we were doing ovulation tracking I had half a dozen of those in my diary at all times!

So booked in with my GP tomorrow arvo to get a referral as I've heard you need to POAS and then call an obs to get in with a popular one down here. I already feel like I'm wasting a day cause I couldn't get an appt this arvo.

So I guess we should get to know each other a bit more? How about some questions...

1. What # bub is this for you?
2. Bio. Where are you from, how old are you, what do you do? etc (as many details as you feel comfortable with, anons smile.gif )
3. Public or Private?
4. Will you be finding out the gender?
5. Any symptoms so far?

1. What # bub is this for you? This will be our second. We have a 3yo DD who will be a few weeks off 4yrs when this one is born. A good gap for me as she will be starting school when I'm looking to return to work so I won't have to pay for 2 in daycare.

2. Bio details I'm 28 very shortly, we currently live in Canberra and I'm a high school teacher. This year I'm teaching distance education so it will be nice and flexible when I need to make appointments!

3. Private or Public? Private patient in a public hospital I think. I had a C-sect with my first as she was breech. I'm not 100% pro VBAC but don't want to do a c-sect unless necessary. I also don't want 'whoever is on call' to do mine if I go public. AND it's a district hospital so if I do need one and I'm not booked in that's what will happen anyway.

4. Will you be finding out the gender? Don't know! We didn't with DD, I have a feeling we're having another girl and while DH says he'd be happy either way I kinda don't want him to find out it's not a boy (cause I know he'd love one!) on teh day.

5. Any symptoms so far?None really, a bit of cramping every now and again but that's it. Very offputting.

Hi Arabella and Cookies! Great to see some more mummies in here.

Due Dates
6th Oct - Arabella
6th Oct - CookiesandCream
13th Oct - Windsor
13th Oct - FunkyMonkey

Appointments
7th Feb - Windsor, GP appt to discuss care
11th Feb - 1st GP appt
23rd Feb - Windsor, ultrasound with FS (my Birthday!)

Windsor you definately know me. We have something in common wink.gif.

1. What # bub is this for you? #2 for us. DD will be just over 2 when this one is due. I like that age gap as I wanted them close-ish together. It will mean double the child care though wacko.gif.

2. Bio. Where are you from, how old are you, what do you do? etc (as many details as you feel comfortable with, anons) I'm 32 (heading towards 33), live on the east coast somewhere (biggrin.gif) and work in admin. I have a pretty flexible boss so appointments should be ok. He doesn't really have much choice anyway does he! Haha

3. Public or Private? Going public again for this one. We went public with DD and I had an awesome experience. They even often a few in-home midwife visits once you go home. Very handy.

4. Will you be finding out the gender? Yes! And we can't wait!

5. Any symptoms so far? Like you Windsor, no real symptoms here apart from a little cramping and backache sad.gif. I'm actually looking forward to MS! I hate not feeling pregnant because it makes me worry. My sleeping has turned a little to crap though.

AFM Just plodding along playing the waiting game. I told my parents on the weekend and my SIL/BF. Both very excited of course.

I'm already freaking out a little about having 2 kids! The thought of how tired I'm going to be is not nice. But I know it will be worth it wub.gif.
Long time member going anon.

11th Feb - 1st GP appt
23rd Feb - Windsor, ultrasound with FS (my Birthday!)
7 Mar - Obs appointment

I saw my GP today and assumed I would need a blood test, but she said not to bother. It all feels a bit unreal, I was looking forward to having someone medical confirm it for me!

1. What # bub is this for you?
No. 1

2. Bio. Where are you from, how old are you, what do you do? etc (as many details as you feel comfortable with, anons smile.gif )
I'm 30 and live in Melbourne

3. Public or Private?
Private

4. Will you be finding out the gender?
Not sure. I always thought that I would as I'm so impatient, but now I'm leaning towards a surprise. DH doesn't mind.

5. Any symptoms so far?
I've been incredibly tired for the last week, even after a solid 8 hours sleep. Usually I can function fine on 6 or so hours. Also a bit of queasiness and some quite sharp pains, which have me a bit worried.

Hi ladies smile.gif

Congratulations to all the October to be mummies. I would like to join you please!

I don't really know anyone on this forum. I use to be a member (under a different name) back in 2005/2006 before my 2006 wedding.

I joined under this log in when I was pregnant back in Feb/March 2011. Sadly that pregnancy miscarried at 14 weeks. It was devastating to say the least. BUT my husband and I have been truly blessed with a BFP.

This was our 2nd last month of trying naturally before my FS wanted us to go to IVF as it was discovered that I have low ovarian reserve following all of my medical dramas following the miscarriage.

ANYWAY! Enough of the sad stuff.

I am due October 8th, 2012.

Last time I was reluctant to join an online mummies group officially in fear of it "cursing" me but I now am throwing all fears to wind and thinking what the hell?! It's all very scary.

I had a blood test today at my FS clinic and they called me this afternoon to say my levels were "great". I asked not to be told the number as I would then fret like crazy that it is too low or something or find a way to stress blink.gif Oh the joys of being a nervous nutbag.

I have a 6 week scan on Feb 17th. I will be 6w3d by then. Fingers crossed we will see something growing!

Sorry for my long post.....I hope us girls all continue along on our journeys successfully.

Carly

1. What # bub is this for you?
No. 1

2. Bio. Where are you from, how old are you, what do you do? etc (as many details as you feel comfortable with, anons)
I am from the Gold Coast
I am 30 years old
I am an accountant

3. Public or Private?
Private

4. Will you be finding out the gender?
Um, most probably not but it will kill me as I am a "need to know everything" person!

5. Any symptoms so far?
I had a stack of symptoms last week around when AF was due. I was dry retching, had really really sore/tender boobs, going to the loo quite a bit and was really tired. Oh and my tummy was extremely bloated. I had that last time and that is what made me test (and my period was a day late!)

Strangely my symptoms have pretty well disappeared, hence why I had the HCG test today. I was FREAKING out yesterday and so wishing my nausea would reappear.

I am also getting twinges now and then but nothing as bad as period cramps.

Has anyone else had symtoms magically coming and going?

I felt the same way when I was pregnant with Seth and first went to the GP. It felt sort of weird not having the pregnancy officially confirmed. My appointment with the GP for this pregnancy is not till Thursday but I imgaine it will play out the same way.

Try not to stress about the sharp pains...It's normal just the uterus stretching to make room for bubs.
