I just hope the fact that you're lower in the bottom three means you have to work harder than the higher ones in the bottom three to do better. The second round Qld'ers look idiotic, so I hope the army dudes don't end up in too much trouble! (what can I say, I'm being patriotic)

I can only think that Thomas got what was coming to him. I think it's easy to be judgmental and mean, but karma's a bitch.

development is a journey, not a race

hahaha so happy to see Thomas and Carla fall flat on their faces! Especially Thomas. I just can't get over the fact that they thought everyone's scores were unjustified and they should have got higher.

I don't even understand the main course they served up, it didn't seem like anything to do with a day at the polo. And why weren't the cheesecakes done during the initial prep time? And why didn't they taste that lavender top?

Very glad to see that smug look wiped off Thomas' face tongue.gif

I was thinking everything you were Ali!

Those cheesecakes were a disaster - and honestly cheesecake is not that complicated. The berry and lavender topping could have been a winner but errr, turned out like soap - blah!

Totally got their bums kicked.

But the next group seems to have a nasty couple in it too (the solicitor and dr). Very very nasty.

Agree with everything you have said here AliRo!

I was so annoyed at both of them for disagreeing with the judges comments about their dessert when they hadn't tasted themselves what they had served! It might have tasted good every other time they made it but they didn't taste it THIS time so they can't dispute it!

I was trying to work out how their main fit in with the Polo theme too...glad it wasn't just me!

DH and I were so happy to see them fail after the way they behaved at the other restaurants. I think Thomas is a right wanker. Karma is a wonderful thing....

AnA I think it will be interesting to see what the second group is like, that QLD couple do look very nasty indeed! They are annoying me just from the ads so I think they will be the team I love to hate from that group already!

LOL at the scores.

A 1? 1 because they put something on the plate LOL

Carla looked exhausted after tonight.

Just saw the previews for Round 2!

So, thoughts on round 2?

Most of them seem really nice. Obvious exception to that is that lawyer, but I somehow feel like he's putting it on a bit too much, wheras Jennifer and Thomas did seem to actually be like that. Him going on about that WA chick crying was stupid, anyone could see she wasn't really crying crying, she was just disappointed and you just can't help but cry when stuff like that happens.

I've missed the last few episodes - since the second group started... So The solicitor meanie seems to be a bit of an act?

I can't help but think he looks vaguely familiar (haha, probably from ads from months ago!!)...

lol AnA I keep thinking both the lawyer and his partner look familiar to me for some strange reason...

I can't tell yet if it is an act or not. The way his partner interacts with his mean comments have me leaning the other way...plus I know someone who has is like that (attitude wise) and that is just his personality (unfortunately!) so I'm not sure. He certainly seems to be incredibly arrogant though. Just the way he disagreed with Manu last night, absolutely no problem with disagreeing with the judges opinion, but the way he spoke got to me - it was like he was in the schoolyard mimicking him. And he really got up my goat the way he kept saying "ohmygod" It sounded like it was coming out of a high school bimbo's mouth not a middle aged lawyers! laugh.gif

I am really looking forward to the next episode. Nick and Rocco seem so nice and genuine and even when things went wrong with the others dishes they always found something nice to say. They are my favorites from group 2 so far!

Not sure about the Tassie couple... unsure.gif

I don't think it's an act LOL I think he's a bit of an a-hole
Again, hope he burns his kitchen down (and what was with his partner wearing a hat at the table? Bad manners much? I don't care if it's fashionable...)

I guess my way of thinking was that he was so over the top mean that it had to put on because no one could possibly be that self centred and lacking compassion!

There are people like that out there LOL
I reckon he'd be the lecturer that everybody hates, and i'll bet he treats all the uni students like that too...

The lawyer is a uni lecturer, what a pain in the rear laugh.gif
I just saw the ad for the coming week, they are seriously a couple of wankers, unless they have done the ad in such a way that it only looks like they hate everything...LOL

I do like the show. but that Jennifer looks like she belongs to those people search sites. She can be sooo annoying at times it's unbelievable. Maybe it's just me, but I really can't stand her.

It's Monday!! Can't wait to see what this week brings ph34r.gif laugh.gif

I really hate that they've changed the formula this year from the bottom 2 teams battling it out. I think it sucks that the bottom 3 have to fight to stay in the competition! I liked the old way better but I guess being the third season they have to try and spice it up a bit. I just really hope the army guys make it through - them and the Greek brother and sister are my favorites so far smile.gif
