Our laptop isn't even a year old and the battery only lasts about 20 mins then I need to plug it in - defeats the purpose of a laptop. Someone said I should take the battery out and put it back in - is this right? Where do I find the battery to do that blush.gif

Any advice welcome, the littel one just wants to grab the cord all the time, so it is a total pain.

TIA

Flip the laptop over and you should see it lining the bottom of the laptop (it's on either length of the laptop, depending on the brand). There should be a little lever that you can pull and it'll pop out.

Try taking it out and putting it back in, or letting the battery to completely flat before recharging it.

Since its less than a less old perhaps you should take it to the manufacturer? Would it be under warranty?

Thanks will take it out and see how it goes, otherwise I will take it back. Luckily in our clean up over Christmas we found the receipt, whihc DH swore he kept but couldn't find. After telling me he looked in the box numerous times, I found it in there. He is about as good as the laptop battery sometimes....

Hahaha, my DH is the same. He was supposed to organise delivery of tiles we bought back in May... Still waiting.

Good luck with it - hopefully you can just swap it with a new or over hauled battery with the manufacturer though smile.gif
