Woohoo!!! Are the others sleeping well at the moment too? I hope so for your sake, even if it just means you get some writing done rather than actually sleeping yourself!

Good thing it's not the other way 'round - imagine having two good sleepers then getting stung by a bad sleeper third time around - wacko.gif Better to expect the worst and get the best rather than the other way around biggrin.gif

This was me - I was the third child, the one who wanted to play til midnight, then up again at 5am... my mum didn't get a full night's sleep until I was over 3 blink.gif Needless to say I've heard all about it for the last 33 years biggrin.gif

I do have the feeling she's lulling me into a false sense of security wink.gif

But right now she's asleep in her cradle and I'm about to work on the manuscript with TWO hands.

Oh I agree! My second child is a much better sleeper than my first, and I'm really glad I had the bad sleeper first. If I'd had my second child first I'd think I was the worlds most awesome mum and then be in for a very rude shock laugh.gif

I hope the good sleeping continues for you (and me).

Oh Yay!! That would make it a bit easier! Mine were in reverse. got worse the more children I had. By the 3rd, she was totally immune to concepts such as sleep and sleep training. Much rather have had the bad sleeper first! That said if we had Eva first I am not sure I would ever have had another child, laugh.gif tongue.gif .

Yes, I'm afraid I do not concur with the "3rd child" theory. I have many friends and family members whose 3rd child was the worst of all. Most of them were expecting the relaxed 3rd baby that everyone tells you about, so needless to say it was somewhat of a shock!

My second teased us by sleeping through from 7 weeks until 6 months. She hasn't slept through since and right now won't sleep unless she is touching me at night *sigh*. At least you know to appreciate the sleep you are being given now! laugh.gif
