Hi everyone... just introducing myself as a newbie.

I met my husband-to-be when I was a teenager, we were just friends and as time went by, we lost contact... he moved interstate and the friendship was forgotten.

In 2008 he found me on facebook and at the time I was infact engaged to a lovely gentleman who I'd been dating for 4+ years. Things had become stale on that front however and eventually I moved on to another short lived relationship (disasterous! horrible male he was). During those times our friendship had become quite strong again and he gave me great advice and was the ear I needed. Being a few years younger I'd always dismissed a relationship and made it quite clear I wasn't interested.

Time went by and as the friendship grew stronger, so did the feelings. Infact, he ended up moving back, leaving his family behind, to pursue a relationship and quickly I feel head over heels... wub.gif

There's alot of truth when people say "you never know when it will happen, they might be right under your nose".

We moved in together October 2010... and he proposed July 3rd 2011... things have moved rather fast, but I know it's right this time - everything just works the way it is supposed to and he still surprises me and when I look at him I know there's unconditional love and that he is committed to being in the relationship.

I'm so blessed to have what I would consider my soul mate...

Our engagement party was the 17th September - "Wonderland" theme... teapots, teacups, cupcakes, high tea... it was a blast and the photos were great!

ALTHOUGH... the preparation has really given me a fright. It took me 3 months of total stress to plan it and I have NO idea where I should start with the wedding plans - even if it's not until 6th July 2013.

Congratulations and welcome to I-Do smile.gif

If you've got the date, start thinking location and any important suppliers that you might like to start negotiating with. I was very interested in having a particular photographer and actually set my date based on his availability.

Don't forget to set your budget!

Then start thinking styles/themes and other suppliers that you might like to include.

Enjoy the planning and try not to get too stressed!

Don't forget to post lots of lovely pics of your ideas & keep us updated biggrin.gif
