I love dates that look pretty, if a date can, like 11.02.2012, but that being said, April 20th is our date, some reason since I was a kid I have really thought that is a great date, every year, is that a bit kooky?

I have ordered my dress, which I should have in about 4 weeks, super early, and have my flowers, going for some real touch blossoms, and they are amazing!
I have my shoes, kind of booked a photographer, but not 100% committed yet, checking out wedding locations, which kind of needs to be nailed down before photographers and celebrants etc are booked IMO.

Searching for hair styles, deciding on veils, not convinced to have one or not.

Hmm, what else? Not sure yet.

Can't wait to meet some April Brides. wub.gif

Hi Casey,

I'm here after not being in these forums since I got engaged.. I was really active in TTC, but once I got engaged those plans are completely on hold! I used to be in the wedding section of the forums in years past when I was single or with other guys, because I loved weddings and fantasising about my own, lol. But now that I'm actually organising my own, I'm actually very laid-back and "meh" about it, it's that weird?

Having said that, I'm pretty organised. I've bought my dress (off the rack, just needs altering next year) and veil, my BMs' dresses have been ordered and paid for, the classical trio and reception band have been booked, the venue is sorted -- we are having the ceremony there too, the cake has been ordered, I've bought all the table centrepieces (just need to get candles to put in them!), I've bought one of the bonbonierre (dice with our names and date on them), flowers have been organised, celebrant booked... so now it's just make-up and hair, and little things like shoes, rings, suit hire, jewellery, etc.

Our date is 14th April 2012. Like you, I thought the date was very pretty-sounding. Plus, it has a silly back-story for me; back in high school my friend and I were predicting each others' futures in a boring class one day, and she told me I would get married on 14th April 2002. But a few years ago when I remembered this, I decided to make my hypothetical wedding date exactly ten years later when I found out it would fall on a Saturday! I never imagined I would actually get to use it. Also, it marks exactly 100 years since Titanic sank.. which should be a negative thing really, but I've always been fascinated with Titanic. tongue.gif

So anyway, I've blathered on too much. wink.gif I haven't done anything wedding-related for weeks, since I've pretty much done everything that needs doing right now. However, I really need to get onto the hair dresser and make-up girl that my BM gave me phone numbers for. The fact that I haven't done much lately has made me very slack!
