Could we please get a section of the forum where we can see who the mods/admin are and can contact those responsible for certain sections of the forum when it appears to regular members that it isn't being monitored effectively?

We have had several new users lately that are blatantly advertising and causing trouble and regular members are leaving in droves as the offending users are not being removed despite frequent reporting of their actions sad.gif

If there could be a place where members can go to say "I reported this thread/user" then you wouldn't get so many reports as members can check in to see if it's been actioned and show support by posting links to other objectionable content by the same user.

Mods/admin could then see a thread list of comment links in the one place instead of seeing report after report after report for the same person in different places and being unsure if that post was deleted or if it was new.

As an example there are 34 threads in the "introduce yourself" section of the PRE-CONCEPTION, PREGNANCY, BIRTH & BEYOND FORUM started by the user "namau" that have been up since the 3rd of August all named "hi" with spam advertising text.

This user has posted 44 times, all in the same section, all spam.

I have personally reported a lot of these posts but they are still there disgracing the forum and turning legitimate users away. Members go to introduce themselves only to find commercial links and rubbish babble.

"topicyang" is another new user trawling i-do over the past month advertising their business under the guise of a legitimate user. This user is simultaneously waiting on their boyfriend to propose, planning an engagement party, rethinking their dress, firing their flosist, getting married in a month, was married last year and has an obsession with diana's little black dress, promise rings and online shopping rolleyes.gif

Obvious spam left two weeks and longer before removal is just bad forum management. sleep.gif

They dont appear to care anymore.
These new "people" are creating traffic for the forum which in turn creates traffic for the site.
There are 2 or 3 moderators for the whole forum and to say moderators is stretching it to be honest as there is no moderating.

I thought i'd try this as the report button seems to be broken laugh.gif
