I chose over $10,000 (like WAAAY over) as we are going to Europe for 5 weeks. However, we decided to scrimp and save on other areas so we could afford to go there. I could not justify heaps of money on a dress, shoes, invites, etc. and saved heaps in those areas.
Each to their own.

Half of our wedding budget was for our honeymoon, I think once we count in what we spent whilst we were over there we came in at about $10000. We went to Mauritius for 12 nights and Melbourne for two, definitely was worth the money we spent, it was Andrew's first trip overseas and our first real holiday together, and we had so much fun that if we had the money we would be jet setting back right now.

I have no idea as H2B has said that itís a surprise! Managed to find out that itís not going to be cheap (my mumís rubbish at keeping secrets!).

I donít think it matters how much it costs or where it is as long as itís away from the usual! (I might not be saying that if he books a week in Skegness! (a rather rundown seaside town in the UK)). tongue.gif

we spent a fair bit over $10k as we really splashed out on accomadation. because my dad practically paid for the whole wedding we thought we could afford to pay this much. our second "honeymoon" was a week on the sunshine coast and we spent about $2k all inclusive.

if we had been paying for the wedding ourselves, i still would've had a good honeymoon and cut back on other aspects of the wedding cos for us the ceremony and the honeymoon were the two most important parts of our wedding.

We're still looking at honeymoons atm.....

Has anyone seen those deals to the Maldives for under $3,000 pp?
It includes airfares, taxes, and 5 nights accomodation....

I'm just concerned thats a lot to spend for only 5 nights..... huh.gif

We are spending about $20,000.00 on our Honeymoon (2weeks in Los Angeles and 2 weeks in New York) that also includes $6000.00 spending money.

we decided to really go all out for our honeymoon becuase we plan to start a family after we are married and it will be our last holiday for a long, long time.
