When my son first started transitioning, he would have a bit of lunch beforehand and then sleep at around 11-1130am. He would then have a little more to eat after he woke. I pushed this time out a little every day and it wasn't long before he was having lunch at around 12 - 1230 and then sleeping at 1pm, which he still does. He sleeps for 2-3 hours.

Having said this, many of my mummy friends have kids that start their day nap earlier between 11 - 1130am. I think this may be because their kids wake alot earlier in the morning. Cameron wakes between 8 - 830am so he's usually not ready for a nap until 1pm anyway.

I can't remember his exact age he started only having one sleep, but currently at 2y1m DS goes down for his day sleep between 11:00 - 11:30. He has a snack before hand and his lunch when he wakes up. I also know some parents who feed lunch at 11 and a snack when they wake. His sleep time varies according to how tired he is but it's between 1.5-3 hours.

This is us, mostly.

DD2 (15 months) has just dropped down to 1 day sleep in the last few weeks. She goes down around 11ish & I usually just give her a big morning tea, which is essentially lunch, before she goes down. She also has a bottle of milk so she is pretty full come sleep time. At the moment she is only doing, on average, 1-1.5 hrs max but I have everything crossed she sleeps for a little longer very soon as by 5.30pm she is REALLY tired. I'll try to push out the time she goes down to sleep to a little later over the coming months so she's essentially have a solid afternoon nap.

DD1 was doing 2.5 - 3 hr naps at one stage & I am hoping I can get DD2 doing the same thing ..... well I live in hope wink.gif
