Hi,
I am desperately searching for a chapel-like ceremony venue that is NON DENOMINATIONAL in central-Northern Victorian suburbs. For example Yarra Glen, Yea, Wallan, etc. We will be having 70-80 guests and i don't care how fancy (or lack thereof) it is, as long as it has a genuine country feel.
I cannot seem to find one that is suitable, and i'm afraid i'm turning into a bridezilla whilst looking! My fiance can't get two words out of me unless they're about venues!
Please help!! smile.gif
Thanks in advance!

PS it is so exciting to be posting something like this!

Wallan - Yea - yarra Glen covers a pretty big area, so I'm not sure if Kangaroo Ground is an option for you...

There is a chapel there that is quite nice that is non denominational and is in a country setting: http://www.inglewood....au/chapel.html

I'm from Wallan. smile.gif I don't know if you'll have much luck with a chapel, however there are many beautiful places with a country feel.

I do know that Rivers of Yarrambat have a chapel but I haven't been there so I can't comment.

Ashton Manor in Diamond Creek has a chapel. As does Ballara in Eltham and Potters in Warrandyte.

Otherwise for reception places around here, try Lancemore Hill (near Kilmore), Emu Bottom in Sunbury has a country feel. Michelton Winery near Seymour, Woodbury Estate in Kilmore, Whitehaven Receptions in Whittlesea, Grange Cleveland Winery in Lancefield, Goona Warra in Sunbury, Campaspe County House in Woodend, Trawool (near Seymour), Glen Erin at Lancefield, Roomba's at Wooling Hill, Somerset Crossing in Seymour, Flowerdale Estate Retreat.

Erm, Hidden Valley has a restaurant and grounds.

Otherwise, a little closer to Melbourne: Chateau Wyuna in Lilydale, Montsalvat in Eltham. Both with chapels.

Our reception was at Linley Estate in Kilsyth and it has the most beautiful sandstone chapel, but the grounds are more English garden.

Hope something helps! smile.gif
