Um - I honestly don't see why your MOH is struggling to find something? Where does it say you need to get rollicking drunk at a hen's party? Why does it need to be a night to remember? Surely your wedding will provide that?

You could try:

Dinner at a nice restaurant
Make-up party at someone's house
Try this website: http://www.hens.com.au/

For my hen's day, I went on a boat cruise around Lake Macquarie. I get motion sick on boats normally but the lake is so calm that I had no issues at all and you might be the same. We had lunch, played some games and spent four wonderful hours cruising the lake. Everyone had a great time, including my cynical mother.

You could do a high tea or a pamper day at a day spa.
You could then follow that with a nice dinner out.

At my hens weekend we had a treasure hunt with everyone had to collect certain items, many of them relating to me. For example, everyone had to get something out of my handbag without me knowing, something orange (my bridesmaids colour), a wedding dress - there were so many things but it was a huge amount of fun!

Does it have to be a night activity?

What about a cooking class/fancy meal at a restaurant/high tea/day spa?

I recently did a chocolate tour (in Melbourne, but I am sure there are ones in other cities) and it would be an awesome hens day activity.

I was 4 mnths pregnant and had a high tea but then I didn't want a really BIG hen's night to begin with anyway.

A friend hired a room at a karaoke bar in Sydney for hers, then dinner at a theatre restaurant (that does lots of hens and so was pretty interactive for her). You don't need to drink at all.

Shouldnt your MOH or BMs be organising this for you tongue.gif

I had a weekend away, hired a holiday house in Shoal Bay and did a dolphin watch cruise and then came back and made yummy cocktails (can make mocktails for the mumma) and then went out for dinner and a night of dancing and more drinking at the country club!

The next day we went to Nelsons Bay wandered around the shops, had lunch at Hogs Breath...it was the most relaxing and fun weekend with my closest girlfriends!

In newcastle you can do a proggesive dinner (i think its called) through newcastle limos..you pay a certain amount and they pick you up in a limo and take you to a different restaurant for each course...sounds like fun and those who want to drink can smile.gif

Hi Melanie,
If you after something really cool have you considered life drawing? My BF did www.art4play.com.au
and it was a blast... We sipped bubbles and drew a nude mam for a few hours and it was really tastefully done smile.gif
