You never know, you could go early - Jackson was almost 3 weeks early so anything can happen!!

Figure this will probably be the best place since I'll have the c-section about 2 weeks before my due date anyway, so will be sort of in the middle of January! Maybe I'll just hang out in both mummies to be groups laugh.gif tongue.gif

Huge congrats and welcome LSP! biggrin.gif For sure hang out in here- it's pretty quiet at the moment, and I've been whoring myself a fair bit in here with my posting! tongue.gif laugh.gif

I should fish out some 'getting to know you' questions for the group too!

Tahlia my DD (1st child) came 4 weeks early- she wasn't keen on the idea of the 1st 'normally' being overdue! tongue.gif

Hi lovely ladies,

I am another January mummy. According to calculations on the internet I will be due around 15th January. I haven't seen my GP yet, appointment is for 10th June. I had to see the Dr last week cause I was pretty sick with a fluey type thing and he put me on antibiotics and said to make an appointment with my usual Dr for the pregnancy, wasn't too concerned.

We also haven't told anyone yet. I've been very tempted though. Even though I had been off the pill for 12 months, this was a bit of a surprise. We only DTD once during the right time that month and these last few months have been pretty rough for us so haven't been to worried about all the TTC. Amazing what happens when you don't try lol!

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Wow. I am away for a week being sick and working and all these lovely new names pop up! Yay.
Congrats LSP. Nice to see you out of the cafes for a good reason blush.gif
I think I am on the cusp too if late so could be February mummy too.

Hi and a big welcome Tahliah and emh smile.gif

Not much to report here. Boobies are so sore I can barely move so am hoping they clear up soon. I met my best friend on the weekend and she had a POAS so I checked again and was very excited to see at the end of the day, after a lot of drinking through the day at a workshop and having clear pee I still got a VERY dark INSTANT BFP biggrin.gif

I have a 8yo son and two stepkids 12 and 13 and we told them last night and they are very excited. They know what may happen after our last loss at 16 weeks and have asked a few questions but all very happy anyway.

Off to Drs later this week and hopefully dating scan next week! Yay! It will seem more real then

It is pretty quiet in here - hope we get a few more mummies pop up -- I'm pretty chatty, probably cause I'm a SAHM so have lots of time to pop in here tongue.gif

Hi! Congratulations and welcome! It's funny, we only DTD once this month too and was so annoyed about that, as we've been trying for a while...but you know what they say - once is enough laugh.gif

Hi Carley! Glad I can be sharing in this part of our journey with you! Still not too sure whether I'll stay in here or go over to February mummies...but as there's no February mummies group going yet, I'd be pretty lonely over there tongue.gif

So glad you're still POAS too! I have now done 4 tests - 2 different brands, including buying the Clearblue one that tells you how many weeks pregnant you are!! After the massive amounts of BFN's I've gotten over the last 10 months - I just wont sick of seeing that line come up wub.gif

So glad all your kids are excited about the new baby - what a wonderful time for you all wub.gif

AFM - still zero symptoms so I do worry, but trying not to think about it. When I was pregnant wtih J, I was already sick even before I got my BFP and had sore back etc etc so this pregnancy is already completely different! So I'm thinking it's a girl this time laugh.gif laugh.gif

I'm off to the doctor this afternoon. I know last time, I didn't see my obs until around 10 weeks which completely sucks so thinking I'm going to pretend I have absolutely no idea of when I conceived, and hopefully I'll get a dating scan ph34r.gif He doesn't need to know I've been obsessively tracking my cycles and can tell him exactly when each period started, how long AF went for, how long the cycle was, when ovulation date was each month, how long my luteal phase has been and even my temps!!!!!!! blush.gif ph34r.gif laugh.gif

Cancelled my appointment for this afternoon. Figured even if he did send me for a scan, at 4 weeks 3 days there will not really be anything to see and certainly no heartbeat. Might re-schedule the appointment for next week, and forget about the dating scan and just wait till my first obs appointment blush.gif

Congratulations and welcome! biggrin.gif Our stories sound quite similar- we randomly DTD unprotected only once, after some issues with my cycle we weren't too worried either....and here we are! wub.gif So I understand your surprise with it all! Looking forward to sharing the journey with you!

It's great that your kids are excited, good for them to ask questions too given what you all went through. Such a tough journey you've gone through. sad.gif Hoping the boobies settle down asap, and yay for the upcoming dating scan!! I'm with you- hoping that it seems more real once the scan is done!

It's so hard to wait isn't it?! But it's prob for the best, if you're anything like me- having a scan so early and not seeing much (even though I know there wouldn't be much to see) would make me over-analyse everything! laugh.gif And great to know you're chatty too! tongue.gif With my first Mummies group we reached nearly 350 pages, so I'm open for a chat here or there! laugh.gif I've added you to the due date list for now- just 'guestimated' a due date sorry based on c-sect? But please change it if I'm way off! blush.gif

AFM- Dating scan tomorrow! wub.gif And even better, the scan is booked for early arvo so I effectively only have to work half a day!! biggrin.gif I'm not sure if there will be much to see, but my obs' receptionist wanted to book me in sooner rather than later given we really don't know how far along I actually am. This BFP came on CD75 (I think- could be even longer!), so I can't really go on LMP! ph34r.gif laugh.gif Still no symptoms, still totally unsure that this is really happening! laugh.gif

Yes, I think I'll just wait, then go see doc and just get a referral without pretending I don't know when I'm due tongue.gif 350 pages?!?!?!?! My goodness, you were a chatty bunch!!! Just checked out my first mummies to be group - we got to 127 pages and I thought that was mammoth laugh.gif Thanks for adding me to the list - your guess on a date would be as good as mine so that will do for now! I can always change it later.

How exciting for you that you are getting your dating scan done tomorrow wub.gif I hope you get a nice picture of your little jelly bean and get to hear a nice strong heartbeat wub.gif Can't wait for that again! I have zero symptoms too and as much as I don't want the disgusting morning sickness I had with Jackson, at least then I knew I was definitely pregnant laugh.gif

I've started exercising now too - I had wanted to lose 20kgs to get me back to how I was at my thinnest but that's certainly not going to happen now and don't want to be a complete whale by the time I have this baby so exercise it is! Been taking Jack in the pram for a walk in the afternoons - only about a 40 minute walk but it's a fairly good pace, certainly gets me huffing! Then when I come home I get 2 of those man fully loaded soup cans (they're 505g each) and just do some arm exercises!! Figure the walking should make me lose some unwanted kilos off my thighs and butt, and my arms could do with a bit of a tone so that's my new regime!! It's lasted 3 afternoons so far, wonder how much longer it will last ph34r.gif

Good on you for getting into exercise! biggrin.gif Such a great idea to use the fully loaded soup cans for weights too (well, given they are for 'fully loaded men' you would have to expect them to be heavy! tongue.gif ). I found exercise was definitely the key for me in my first pregnancy- certainly helped with labour too! Oh and I notice your from NQ- which town? I lived in Townsville for 12 years- had some wonderful times up there!! And we're heading to Cairns in Aug for our friend's wedding- can't wait!

And yep, our Mummies to be group was quite the chatty bunch! laugh.gif Actually we still are now on FB- love it! wub.gif

How is everyone feeling? I hope all are doing well, and we get some wonderful reports back soon! smile.gif

Well my obs remembered me today, so that was a good sign! laugh.gif Did the scan and saw a little heartbeat!! wub.gif Certainly felt much more real seeing a little blip on the screen. Apparently I'm not as far along as I had thought- so new due date is 27th Jan....edging closer to Feb! laugh.gif Have no idea how conception actually occurred according to the dates the obs is proposing, but we'll run with it! DD is born in early Feb so unless this one wants to be premmie like their sister (please don't bub!! It's not fun! tongue.gif ), we'll be having birthdays rather close together! wacko.gif Do you think they'll notice me being cheap and rolling their birthdays into one big party?! ph34r.gif laugh.gif Just so relieved to see a heartbeat! Obs wants me back in another few weeks for a re-scan to check progress and confirm dates. I'll update the list now too.

I have a question re: dating scans. If I went to the doc and pretended I had no idea when I conceived/how far along I am etc what actually happens with these dating scans? Will he refer me to a scanning centre place thingy to do a scan, or will he do one of those internal probe scany things :shudder:

Or would he just refer me to my obs and that would be the end of his involvement and that it would be up to the obs what he did? Not sure if it's different as I'm going private, as opposed to if I was doing shared care or similar???

laugh.gif laugh.gif

Well for this scan, my GP sent the referral to my obs, I rang to book in and because I had no idea they booked me in earlier rather than later just to be safe. So GP has nothing more to do with it and I'm just at the mercy of my obs now! But with DD the GP ordered the dating scan- so I went to a radiology clinic to get it done (needed a dating scan as basically my body was just as screwed as it is this time! laugh.gif ) and had all that info before I saw the obs. So either way the GP won't have much to do with it. I like the idea of pretending not to know the dates- the sooner you see bubs the better!

Wishren- wub.gif Thanks sweets!! wub.gif How are you feeling? Hope you are doing well!

ph34r.gif Yes! I really want to see my bubba!! Thanks for all your info. Maybe I'll make an appointment for tomorrow and just play the no idea card and see what he says about it all. Although, thinking that maybe if I'm going to try and get a sneaky dating scan in, what's the earliest I should even do that? Like, when can they see anything/see or hear a heartbeat?
