Wow, Carley, I couldn't stand being in the car for 2.5hrs when we went away at xmas (and refused to travel the 4.5hrs to see family instead), 10hrs would have been torture! I am hating sitting full stop lately though.. lying down to take the weight off is much more comfy so I tend to spend as much time as possible in bed. Feeling lazy compared to my last pregnancy, but it's also hotter.. and I'm older *laugh* .

So, do you just get a back-up Ob? I've never had a private Ob so I'm not sure how it all works. Sounds like bad timing on their part, but I suppose they need to take holidays at some point..
Have you ever checked your own cervix (like when TTC)? It feels more mushy (lol!) when pregnant, but it's easy enough to find if you know what you're looking for. I can tell how effaced and dialed I am now without anyone else needing to touch me. .

Seems like Indy was on the right track staying up nth a few hours! Can't wait to hear all about it biggrin.gif .

I'm still waiting.. had my Blessingway on Sunday which was just divine. Feeling totally blissed out and ready to meet my darling bellybabe now wub.gif

Yay for our first graduate Indigo! biggrin.gif

Oh a blessingway sounds like a beautiful tradition (have to thanks Mr Google LOL). Won't be long till your bellybabe is in your arms wub.gif

The drive wasn't too bad as it was night time going down so he seemed settled anyway and coming back I drove a bit so it kept me distracted. I am also over sitting and laying more and more. I sit on my ball to try and help bub into correct position. Will find out tomorrow I suppose if it has helped at all.

I never thought to check my own cervix. It used to be regular thing when TTC so I have a fair idea of what it should feel like at different times so will see if I can reach LOL.

Nothing to report here. Except for the constant texts and calls to check if anything has started. Going to be a long few weeks if he goes over ph34r.gif

Ooh 'tis a race huh??! laugh.gif Well, I'm not winning... just doing a lot of wincing really! laugh.gif

laugh.gif Actually I think you won! tongue.gif Looking forward to hearing all about him!

Hi ladies! biggrin.gif

Carley- I'm so sorry to hear your Nan passed away. sad.gif You did well to manage such a big trip though, if only it were under better circumstances. And constant calls and texts checking in sounds like fun to deal with! tongue.gif I hope your little man realises it's much more comfy on the outside and decides to join the world soon!! Don't worry, I'm not feeling a thing either- despite *supposedly* having contractions last week! We must have some stubborn monkeys! tongue.gif

alemona (sorry was about to call you Mrs Timms! tongue.gif ) great to hear from you! So lovely that your Belssingway went wonderfully on Sunday, sounds like a great way to welcome bubs into the world. wub.gif

Absolutely nothing going on here either. After getting excited last week with the 'contractions', it was a bit of an anti-climax to still be around a week later not feeling any different! tongue.gif But my obs is back from holidays tomorrow, and I've finished getting all my lecturing material ready so I'm taking it as a sign for all the stars to align and bub will be here soon! And if they're not I will be having stern words with them! laugh.gif I am grateful that I've made it this far, and that this time I will have bubs with me instead of in the SCN- it is going to be the weirdest feeling to bring bubs home after 3 days instead of nearly a month! DD is still clingy as ever and I am worried about how she will handle us being away having bubs. I'm sure she'll adjust- DH will only stay with me for the first night and then he'll be home with her so hopefully she won't get too upset. But she is a definite Mummy's girl so I guess we'll just have to take things as they come!

OK Jan babies, time to come and join us Earthside!! wub.gif

Had Drs last appointment today and nope wouldn't check me to see if anything is happening but did book me in on the 1st if bub hasn't arrived by then. I think he will but just in case positive thinking doesn't help it is nice to have a date to get ready for.
I did a check myself, well with what I could do with my tummy and I am squishy and have a 'neck' cervix so I assume that means non effaced and have a maybe 2cm gap that is fairly normal after my last 2 pregnancies so looks like he won't be coming anytime soon. He isn't engaged either.
So back to taking it easy with maybe a bit of floor scrubbing and walking just to see if it helps at all smile.gif

Congratulations emh! wub.gif Hope you are recovering well and enjoying all the newborn snuggles!

Carley- can't be much longer for us huh?! wink.gif I'm hoping your little man gets a wriggle on and joins you very soon!!

I'm hoping this bubs hurries up too! laugh.gif Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to be this pregnant! After being told I was having contractions a couple of weeks ago, my obs bought me back to earth last week by saying that bubs was so high up they were nowhere near ready for birth and if it were my first child he'd be talking c-sects due to baby being so high up. He has an induction date planned for DD's b'day! sad.gif No way do I want both my babies born on the same day!! But today at least with my obs' middie, she felt the baby's head straight away on doing an internal and said I was 1.5cm dilated- so she's stretched me to 2cm and said I'm now favourable for an induction (which I apparently wasn't at all last week). I am doing everything I can to ensure that I don't have to have that induction, hoping that something gets moving this week!!

Yay! Congratulations emh. Hope your recovery is swift wub.gif

Come on baby starlight! If I am induced it will be on hubbies birthday so seems we have an induction trend of sharing birthdays. Hopefully your internal stirred things up and you will be introducing your little one in no time biggrin.gif

Still nothing here. I am sure he is still high as I am awfully uncomfy and breathing is hard. Off to see my old GP on Wednesday so will be asking for an internal to have some sort of idea what is going on. Surely a quick internal and sweep would be better to start with than a full blown induction.... Well I hope so anyway. He has not quitened down and when he stretches I swear he is about to put a foot through my cervix which is painful but doesnt start anything rolleyes.gif
