Hey lovely ladies

How is everyone? What are we all up to this Easter?

We have so much on but nothing really important. Lots of house stuff, moving people into house stuff and cleaning house stuff as well as catching up with family (errhh) and going to the footy Tuesday...and THANK GOD Kinder is back on Wednesday!

Hi ladies. Happy birthday to all the 2 year old's blush.gif

I'm a bit wrecked after Madison's birthday today but have been meaning to get in here for the last few days.

Bee, its good to hear the fundraiser is coming along. I know what you mean about it being so hard for your parents to struggle over something like money.

Tanya, congratulations smile.gif

We had a nice Easter. It wasn't rushed but we did lots and saw heaps of people. The kids have so much chocolate it takes up 1/4 of my fridge! Alan is going to need to go to rehab when the chocolate runs out lol. By then though it should be Easter 2012 tongue.gif

Madison is back off to Kinder tomorrow and it's a three day week this week for her.

Tantrums - We've had a few. Over the most ridiculous things too dry.gif We tell Alan to go to bed because he is being ridiculous and grumpy. Then we put him in bed, close the door and after a few minutes he comes out and has been reduced to just sobbing. This works 90% of the time, the other 10% is just waiting it out and distraction.

We've started using time out too. He is getting the hang of it. It helps that he had a head start from watching Madison.

Hope everyone is well xo

Hello!

I spent most of Easter cleaning out storage boxes and re-finding all of our baby stuff. I have a massive pile of washing to do now (if only the rain would go away!) but it was so fun going through all of his little tiny baby things!

Will was given chocolate from family and but I have hidden it away with every plan of eating it myself (bad parenting? blush.gif ) We bought some very small Easter eggs (those Cadbury mini-eggs) and he's had three of those so far, that is more than enough for one little boy! He ate two on Easter Sunday alone (the other kids at church were eating them and passing them around, it was impossible to deny him!) and the third was when he caught me stealing one from the fridge and I gave him one so he wouldn't tantrum and let my husband know I was sneaking sugar (I've got my gestational diabetes test next week, I'm meant to be eating like an angel at the moment!).

Sorry to make this all about me- but I've got to dash, be back and update again later!!!

Hi ladies,

Well we are into may already! How time is flying!. Nathan's bed arrived yesterday and I don't want to put it up now. He is so excited though. He loves Emma's bed (well jumping on it) but I am so scared his sleep is going to go to shit after I worked so hard to get him sleeping through. Oh well, can't worry about something that hasn't happened yet.

Bee, how is everything going with your dad. How is the fundraising going?

Much love to everyone x

Hi everyone

May- isn't it scary? I realised that I'm having a baby in about 9 weeks- started freaking out that we have NOTHING prepared (not even a name!! ph34r.gif ).

SK- Hope that Nathan transitions to the bed okay. I was so scared as well, turns out Will has adjusted really well, fingers crossed it's the same for you and your little guy!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

I had a pretty meh day, nothing much to complain about, but nothing to brag about either. No card or present, I might have to use it as an excuse to get something nice this week laugh.gif

Bee
- so great that you have almost sold out! I can't wait to hear how it all goes! You've put so much hard work in, your parents are going to be so proud of you.

Nyree- LoL, winging it will be what happens- my poor son has second child syndrome already tongue.gif

SK- Did you get the bed up? How has it been?

Alana- Happy Birthday to Rylan! I saw the photos of his 2nd birthday on facebook, it looks like it was a lot of fun! smile.gif William would kill for those Buzz/Woody toys, where did you get them?

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I keep going into the 12-24 month section before I realise I'm in the wrong one! Hopeless!

Amy, I also didn't have a great Mother's Day as Mitch got sick during the night and woke up with a raging fever that is still continuing today. Poor bubba I've not seen him so sick. I did get pancakes in bed though so that was sweet. Definitely go buy yourself something nice! I can't believe you only have 9 weeks to go!!!! That's exciting! I loved your gender reveal party too, what a fantastic idea!

Alana - How are you going? Happy 2nd Birthday Rylan! I hope you all had a great day and party.

SK - Pictures of the big boy bed? How's it all going? We are still having fun putting Mitch back to bed a thousand times but at least I can now have a lie down on his bed if he sneaks into ours and pushes me out! ph34r.gif

Bee - Great work on the fundraising and good luck on Sat night! Can't wait to hear how it all goes.

Nyree - Looks like Madison had a great birthday. Loved the cake!

Nep - how are you feeling? Time seems to be flying with his pregnancy just a little too much doesn't it? Hope you are more organised than me!

Off to the Drs soon with the little man. Hope you are all keeping warm and having a good day smile.gif

Pffft - nuh. tongue.gif

I have purchased some small things: more glass bottles (we've always fed in glass) and four more cloth nappies (Amy - I got more BBH!)... and that's about it. laugh.gif Fortunately I'm having another boy so I'm going to be extra cheeky and recycle most of DS1's clothing, of which I've thrown nothing out just in case we had another prince. I know what needs to be done in my head, it's just getting the body to listen. Am sorry to hear that Mitch wasn't well yesterday, poor little poppet.

SK - how exciting about the bed! I'm still putting off moving DS to a big bed until Bub #2 needs his cot... ph34r.gif

Alana - I hope Rylan had a great party! Isn't it lovely to see them much more involved this year?

Bee - all the best for the fundraiser! Please let us know how it goes. You're doing such an awesome thing. smile.gif

Amy - re the BBH, they arrived in the mail today and for the first time in all the years I've been buying BBH nappies (must be close to 30 of them), they've sent the wrong thing. The Magic Alls AIO velco are on special and they must have run out because they've sent me a girly print. blink.gif Do you think it'd be a bad thing to have my little boy in a paisley soft pink and purple floral design? I have sent an email to ask if they can change it. Oh and regarding the chocolate, I'd have to do that out of necessity because DS doesn't like it. What a shame! tongue.gif

Quick update from us:

DS's party was a lunch picnic in the bush with heaps of family. It was informal and relaxing and we stayed till dark sitting around a comforting fire. DS had so much fun traipsing through the fallen pine needles and getting filthy we presented him with his big boy bike (a balance bike, so no peddles or training wheels). He loves it but unfortunately he's too small! We're looking for something super cheap in the interim until he's big enough to fit it. DH still pushes a very excited and giggling DS around the back yard on it, which melts the heart strings.

Mothers Day: I asked for a day off and I sort of got it. DS is clingy and DH tries but just doesn't get it. I did a huge load of housework and still did all the things I said I wasn't going to, but I did manage to get a couple of hours to myself in the afternoon and DH ordered in take away so I didn't have to cook. It turned out to be a nice day by the end, capped by a great night's sleep because DS didn't wake up last night for once! I got the first uninterrupted night (as in 5.5 hours) in literally months. It was strange waking up this morning feeling rested. blink.gif

Oh, and in other news, I found out my private hospital has recently been doing water births! I have an obs appointment this week and I'm going to beg him if I can give it a shot - as long as all the conditions are right. I've been doing some research on it and a water birth looks so amazing.

Bee, that is really great news about the fundraiser!

Neph, that is great news about the water births. I hope your doc is keen to help you with that plan. I've been meaning to ask too, how is your business going?

Mother's Day: Mine was nice and quiet. I didn't want a gift or anything, just some hand made things from the kids. Instead I asked to go to the Heritage Markets (only on once every two or so months), and spend a little bit of cash if I saw anything I liked. I didn't end up buying anything at the markets (well for me anyway, the kids got lots ph34r.gif ), instead I went to Spotlight on Monday and bought some material to re-cover 7 cushions (pics are on FB).

Lunch on Mother's Day was with my Grandma and Step-Mum which was nice. Then we went off visiting other Grandma's and my niece who was having her 3rd birthday. At dinner time we headed to the beach with Nathan's Mum and Dad and had fish and chips at the park. It was actually really nice weather... right before the cold freeze!

The cushions look gorgeous Nyree!

Glad to hear you got somewhat of a relax Nep

Bee - fingers crossed for the fundraiser this weekend, sorry I couldn't help out with Coke!

My MD was shit but moving on.

I've had a really emotional day. Firstly reading about Chels' little Stella, really made me upset then I got a text tonight saying one of my best friends is in ICU - needless to say those 3 letters don't really conjure up anything good for me. I have spoken to her hubby and she is ok for now but has pneumonia with 2 collapsed lungs and will be there for the next week at least. Hoping I can take their two little boys off their hands for a couple of days, Friday and Saturday.

DH has been fantastic the last few days, he is seeing things that need to be done around the house and just getting on with it without being asked. He is way more interactive with Nina and just generally nicer to be around. I often wonder if he reads what I write on hear when I whinge, LOL

Hello everyone! smile.gif

TJ-
How did your Drs appointment go? Was it just a cold?

Nep- Your little man's birthday party sounds like a great time! Was the mothers day sleep just a one off or has he turned a corner now? You are superwoman, I don't know how I'd cope with that little sleep. Although I guess you'll be already trained for #2, I'm dreading those 2am wakeups again! I've also got to buy some small BBH (small sized, we've got enough meds) and I logged on last night and almost had a heart attack at the price- I should have bought them when they were clearing out stock! Hopefully you can exchange them for more neutral colours...

Nyree- your new couch cushions look amazing! Well done. I won't tell you how many times I've gone to Spotlight, bought fabric, and meant to recover my cushions....it's embarrassing. ph34r.gif I've got quite a lot of admiration for you actually doing it.

Monica- How is your friend? That's horrible, ending up in ICU and incredibly scary for you as well. Glad to hear that things have been better with DH smile.gif

AFM- Having one of those days where I just want to say to William 'Excuse me, could you stop being a toddler for a little bit?'. He's not being really bad, I'm just tired and a bit distracted and completely not in the mood to play the game. We spent Saturday night away for DH's birthday and then DH spent all of Sunday at church, so Will's only seen his Dad for about thirty minutes since Saturday morning- he had the most epic meltdown when DH left for work.

Anyway, it's almost naptime, and so I'm going to go and convince the little guy to have a lie down so that I can too ph34r.gif
