I used silk scatters. Was easy to match the colour of the BM dresses and was able to dress the tables earlier than if the petals were fresh. We didn't have any fresh flowers at the reception apart from our bouquets so worked fine for us.

I have silk rose petals for the table scatters and for little miss to use as flower girl going up the aisle.
Mum of three. Some I get to hold in my arms...all I get to hold in my heart.

If your parent dies, you are an orphan. If your spouse dies, you are a widow.
But if your baby dies... there is no word for that.

I'd go for silk flowers as well! I think they are the wiser choice because of their availability in different colors, they're cheaper and they don't get old. biggrin.gif And anyway I don't guests will pay much attention to that so I think it's a pretty good decision.

Yes yes yes, I agree, silk seems to be the way things are going, especially if you are on a budget. I'm thinking the more I can save on my flowers and floral tid bits, I can spend more money on things like the venue and my dress etc
