I hope all the other Mamas are doing great and enjoying their bundles.. aren't you happy you aren't still pregnant? laugh.gif

Yes ph34r.gif TBH I cannot even remember being pregnant. I can't believe I was actually pregnant. When I look at my FB profile pic of me pregnant it seems so strange! I think I found Felix in a cabbage patch laugh.gif Won't be long and you will think the same thing Nikki! wink.gif

Master Felix is one month old today!
We going well, the last 2 nights Felix only got up once, yipee! And feeding is going much better, he takes the shield again, double yipee! No more screaming and crying (on both our accounts ph34r.gif wacko.gif )!!

I have had a few visitors over the last few days which has been great!! Especially since I am getting enough sleep, they don't cut into my sleep time tongue.gif

Thinking of everyone. Sim, how is Marymary???? And her little man after his operation???

Kita and Nikki, you ladies have the patience of saints, sending you many eviction vibes! I have a sneaky suspicion I'll still be pregnant in July, so can give me tips on patience biggrin.gif

I'm still feeling good Nikki. Plenty of pressure from family and friends I think it's the worst part about going over. Some people think that it's just as hard for them to have to wait as it is for us!! I hope it hasn't been like that for you.

I have my monitoring day stay tomorrow so I hope that all goes well. I know he's fine as he's constantly moving but I guess they want to check that all his organs are working well for if they have to induce. I think i'll find out the final day he has a chance to come out on his own which is good and bad. I'm sure in another week i'll be very keen to have him out. I've waited a long time for this lol

Hayley great news about the feeding and sleeping!! Your little boy sounds like a bit of an angel lol

Tig, I have no tips on patience other than you don't have a choice but to learn when they don't co-operate laugh.gif tongue.gif

Hi Ladies,

Well some of you might have read on FB already but the monitoring went well. Bub is healthy and there is still plenty of fluid around him so nothing to worry about. He even went to sleep while they were monitoring his movements and heartbeat lol He's just very content in there which I already knew wub.gif

Induction set for next Tuesday so he still has plenty of time to come on his own which is nice. We'll start the gel on Sunday to see if that will work before going to the drip so they are giving me every chance to labour on my own which i'm very happy about! But it is nice to have a final date just in case. I was fast running out of patience. I don't know how you're doing it Nikki!

I've got my fingers crossed for Saturday tongue.gif

We went to see the MCHN the other day and Lexi currently weighs 2.8 kilos! So pleased with that. That's a bit over a kilo from her birth weight. My tiny girl still has a such long way to go, but these are all steps in the right direction.

this is fab progress for Lexi - what size clothes is she in now?? Maisie is in 5 x 0 for bottoms and 4 x 0 for all in ones.

I am doing well with BF and trying to get into a routine that also suits Joe, which is difficult at times. My hubby only has one more week off work to help me, so I must admit I am a bit freaked out as to how I will cope without him.

glad its all going well Deb. So hard when there are two littles demanding attention hey, we are slowly getting into a routine.
is your DH back at work? how are you finding it all?

QUOTE
I am getting fed up with breast feeding. I dread him waking up and wanting food. My inverted nipple side is friggin killing me. I am not using the sheild any more, which is good for supply but IT HURTS (an innie isn't made to be an outie ) and its a mission to get him to latch on, he fusses for ages and gets grumpy and screams because its not coming fast enough I can't get him to latch very well because its a miracle he will even latch on and stay on, let alone practising technique. And my other side, we are still fine tuning the latch, so it hurts too. I will persevere and maybe get my LLL friend to come help me, one feed is good but then the next isn't. I am hoping for more good feeds in a row From today, we are going to do the dreamfeed at 10:30pm as EBM which DH will do. Yay!! Sleep and saved nipples!!

how are you going with the BF Hayley? did anyone have any advice for the inverted nipple?

Great to hear you got breastfeeding all sorted Hayley. I had to use shields with Teddy and they were a bit of a pain. Felix sounds like Miss Estelle, she only gets up once a night too, bless them biggrin.gif

I bet you’re glad to have an end date Kita! I can’t believe how calm you two are about going over, I was a wreck at the end of pregnancy and I only got to 38+5.

I had my meeting with the mental health team, they are referring me to their psychiatrist. I have an appointment at the end of the month, just one more thing to be anxious about I suppose. I feel sick whenever I think about it, so worried there is something really wrong with me.

We had Estelle weighed yesterday, she came in at 4.9kg, 1.6kg over her birth weight. She is in 000 but is starting to burst out of them. ph34r.gif

what have been your top 5 purchases so far?

1. Breast pump
2. Dummies. She likes to suck on them to go to sleep, then spits them out.
I’m kind of boring, but those are the only things I’ve actually bought so far… We have a swing from when Ted was a baby, and that is fantastic for when we’re getting ready in the mornings.

first day trips with bubs

Wow Minimee, you’re ambitious! We haven’t done much at all.

1. Nursing home- My grandma was there before she died, we took her to visit because it makes all of the residents so happy to see a new baby.
2. Playgroup, Gymbaroo and Swimming lessons- Teddy’s activities, she is happy to sleep in the pram, thank god. It’s good to be able to have one on one time with Teddy.

Hi ladies!!

Just read so much so forgive me if I don't respond to personals!!

WOW Nikki you are doing great guns!! I'm convinced if they didn't take my two out when they did I'd still be pregnant now as well...they were quite comfy there!

Kita it's nice when there is a date you know you're not going to go over!

My boys are doing quite well...settling well during the day and not so well at night however which is really hard! I'm trying to twin feed whenever I can (today has been a good day as they've woken at similar times all day. I really don't mind both the twin feeding and the one on one feeding but I wonder how long I'll be able to keep it up for.

Max is still tiny and in 00000/0000 but Noah is well into the 0000 and I think they'll be there for a while yet. Zoe was in 0000 for a month before she moved to 000 and she was one pound heavier than Noah and nearly two heavier than Max.

The only place I've managed to have been yet is Medicare laugh.gif but I'm still recovering after the c-sect and I'm really making an effort to take it easy this time!

I feel more calm now than I did at 37/38 weeks. Back then I was saying to DH how DREADFUL it would be to still be pregnant in 3 or 4 or 5 more weeks but now that I'm here it's not too bad. Induction isn't really an option for me unless I feel like there is something wrong so I don't really have any option other than to be a bit zen about it all!

Please don't worry Pepita, there isn't something 'really wrong with you'!! Even if they think you need a bit more help that doesn't mean there is something wrong with you, I promise. They are just being cautious and making sure you have the support you need and that is a good thing!!

I can't wait to tell you my top 5 things, but it's all hypothetical for now tongue.gif

OH dear, I can't reply to everyone else because DH has just sliced the end of his finger off while cooking and is bleeding all over the place!!! I hope you are all well though, I'm thinking of you heaps!

It was really good timing actually, this term he started toddler swimming classes so I don't have to get in the water with him anymore! I just have to sit on the edge and remind him to focus every 2 minutes or so rolleyes.gif

The joys of living with a chef Nikki, my husband is forever slicing or burning himself. Hope he is okay!

Try not to worry, if there was really something that wrong with you, they would have dealt with it urgently, not given you an appointment at the end of the month!

What you are feeling is totally normal honey. I am glad to hear you are getting out and about and getting on with life in the meantime, it makes you feel normal.

Hey Calzo!! Glad to hear you are doing well!!

Thinking of Nikki and Kita, stalking you both on FB and if you haven't posted quick enough I wonder if you are off having your babies biggrin.gif laugh.gif

I have had a hell 24 hours with feeding. I went to the midwife and she showed me how to attach properly and I did it really well, of course when I got home it didn't work and I ended up bawling my eyes out each feed sad.gif Not to mention yelping in pain which frightened Felix then he began to cry sad.gif sleep.gif

However, the last feed, I decided to do it on the couch instead of the chair and it worked really well. I am doing football hold because of my huge boobies and his feet were pushing against the back of the chair and he didn't have enough room to get into a good position. Far from a perfect latch but a significant improvement! My midwives, who I have officially signed off from, have promised to help me until I have it sussed which is so sweet wub.gif

Felix has been having longer sleeps today, going 4 hours between feeds, he must be growing and his little tummy able to handle more wub.gif He weighed 8 pound 13 ounces at his checkup yesterday, up from 7 pound 4 ounces at birth. Ah, I just love him so much wub.gif wub.gif He is the most adorable bubby ever wub.gif wub.gif That's all rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

Hayley I love hearing you talk about your little man it's just so sweet wub.gif

Still no baby news here, the waiting game is still on sleep.gif Good news is DF doesn't have anymore days in Sydney until induction date the furthest he is away is 1hr which is nice relief. I was always worried about him being 3.5-4hrs away in travel time. Might help with bub coming in the next day or so...fingers crossed.

Still no news here, I'm trying to be very patient but it's getting hard. I can't believe I'm 42 weeks and 3 days pregnant! I'm worried my baby is going to be HUGE by the time they are born!

I have the same fear Nikki! DF was 9lb 2oz when he was born so i'm a little scared bub has had nearly 2 extra weeks to put on some extra weight/size! My belly is still growing with the stretch marks getting more prominent.

You've don't very well Nikki, I bet you feel like you'll be pregnant forever!! That's how I feel and I have an induction date blink.gif I hope you're holding up well both physically and emotionally. It's been a long journey!

I was just thinking today it's the middle of Feburary on Monday! I was expecting bub at the end of January not the middle of Feb!!

Sim i'm trying my hardest to get him out on his own tongue.gif I feel I need to keep commenting and updating on FB so I don't constanly get messages on my mobile or on there if i've had the baby yet...I think some people think we're going to go into hiding after he's here blink.gif mellow.gif
