Hello Ladies! smile.gif

Hope you are all well and enjoying your little bubbies! smile.gif Nikki and Kita - have you girls popped yet?? smile.gif

QUOTE(minimee2B @ Feb 1 2011, 12:27 PM) View Post

Well it is offical i have stopped BF, i will continue to express for the next to weeks then M will be a FF bubba - it just was not happening for us - so rather than torture myself like last time i have pulled the pin (with my sanity in tack!).
Maisie is feeding like atrooper on the bottle (thank goodness!) she normally cluster feedsthrough the day at 3-3.5hr intervals then at night feeds at 9pm, 2am and 5am. so i am getting some sleep!

I've stopped too Sim. Trying to express and not getting enough milk was driving me insane! It's so important to not torture yourself - I did that for a few weeks and it was just not worth it!
Lexi is doing really well on Formula, and I'm happy with her progress.
We went to see the MCHN the other day and Lexi currently weighs 2.8 kilos! smile.gif So pleased with that. That's a bit over a kilo from her birth weight. My tiny girl still has a such long way to go, but these are all steps in the right direction.

Her Paed is not concerned about her heart murmur. He seems to think that it will resolve itself and since everything else is going well - he said he will organise more testing after she passes the 3 kilo mark.

QUOTE(HayleyNZ @ Feb 1 2011, 12:44 PM) View Post

Felix feeds 3 hourly during the day and goes down about 7pm, then wakes and feeds anywhere around 1-2:30am then again around 5:30-6:00am so night time is great. Last week he went through a growth spurt and was feeding 3 hourly at night, arrgghhh! Such a shock to the system!!

We are getting the sleeping self settling thing sorted during the day, thank goodness. He was miles too hot during the day and getting way too overtired thanks to incompetent Mummy tongue.gif I am on top of it now and you don't know what you don't know! blink.gif laugh.gif

Hayley - if Lexi slept for the same hours that Felix sleeps for - i'd be soooooo happy! Right now we are feeding 3-4 hourly during the day and 4-5 hourly at night.

She's so good at falling asleep during the say but at night - it takes her forever! The MCHN seems to think that she might do this for a while, since it is typical newborn behaviour and techincally Lexi is only 2 weeks old (corrected age)!

Up until Wednesday we had my MIL staying with us. But then she got upset and left to stay with her daughter. rolleyes.gif It caused a bit of tension at home for a brief moment but it has passed and we're getting on with being a family of 3! I'm so glad that I have a supportive husband!
So I get to be a mummy on my own now and I'm absolutely loving it.

Hi Girls! Hope your all doing well. Welcome Mink Pink - another little girl to add to our group, how lovely! wub.gif

All is going well here. Amelia is almost a month old now!! OMG I cannot believe how time flies. I also cannot believe that two of us still haven't had their baby yet. I would be dying... esp in this heat. I was just saying to DH yesterday how glad I am to not be UTD anymore laugh.gif

I am doing well with BF and trying to get into a routine that also suits Joe, which is difficult at times. My hubby only has one more week off work to help me, so I must admit I am a bit freaked out as to how I will cope without him.

I have to go... Amelia is crying for her feed tongue.gif

Life is TWO good

Calzo, I bet your boys are gorgeous!! You have done so well, I can't wait to hear how its all going!!!!

Pepita, Estelle is gorgeous and so alert!! wub.gif Hope your appointment goes well with the mental health team, don't feel bad, I had an easy baby and was anxious too.

Andie, great about Lexi's weight biggrin.gif Sorry you stopped breast feeding too but good on you for not dragging it out and recognising its just not working. There is nothing at all wrong with formula. Hope all is good with your MIL, it can be a bit much for everyone with rellies staying wink.gif

Nikki and Kita, you are both doing so well, not long to go now!!!! biggrin.gif

I am getting fed up with breast feeding. I dread him waking up and wanting food. My inverted nipple side is friggin killing me. I am not using the sheild any more, which is good for supply but IT HURTS (an innie isn't made to be an outie sad.gif ) and its a mission to get him to latch on, he fusses for ages and gets grumpy and screams because its not coming fast enough wub.gif rolleyes.gif I can't get him to latch very well because its a miracle he will even latch on and stay on, let alone practising technique. And my other side, we are still fine tuning the latch, so it hurts too. I will persevere and maybe get my LLL friend to come help me, one feed is good but then the next isn't. I am hoping for more good feeds in a row smile.gif From today, we are going to do the dreamfeed at 10:30pm as EBM which DH will do. Yay!! Sleep and saved nipples!!

Everything else is going well though, just need to get this sorted biggrin.gif

No news.. Our friend Mel posted a comment about being excited to see the first photos of baby, but I don't think she realised how much that made it sound like there had been a baby born to take photos of laugh.gif Still nothing.. 42 weeks tomorrow!

I've considered it Hayley laugh.gif Our heat wave has finally disappeared for the moment so i'm a little more comfortable which has really helped with my coping. I was very over it on the weekend. SIL-to-be had her wedding on Saturday and it was about 39-40 deg and not airconditioned in the church!!

I've run out of things to do for our wedding so now i'm very bored during the day while everyone is bumpsitting me because DF won't let me be alone while he is away dry.gif I know he means well but I do have a phone. On the upside I have been spending plenty of time with Mum which I don't get to do often so it has been kind of nice. I just wish bub would come while she was on holidays but she's back to work next Monday so he has a week to get a move on tongue.gif

Nikki are you going to start your tablets when you reach 42 weeks? You've done so well so far I hope your bubba comes any day now. I'm waiting for your announcement as much as i'm waiting for my own laugh.gif

Hayley I really hope you can get the breastfeeding down pat so that it doesn't hurt you all the time. It must be so hard having an inverted nipple and especially seen as Felix doesn't like the shield! Hang in there i'm sure it will get better but don't torture yourself!!

Deb good to hear your breastfeeding is going well. I'm sure you'll be fine when DH goes back to work. My DF found out the other day that he can only get about 2 days off after bub is here because he needs a 90% attendance record for his uni subjects so here's hoping he comes on a weekend so we can have almost a week together. Though I don't have a toddler running around also!

And welcome Mink Pink more little girls for January. So many girls...Glad Calzo had 2 boys to help even it out hehe

42 weeks today! blink.gif

I'm still undecided about the tablets Kita so I'm not gong to start on them until I've made up my mind one way or the other. At the moment I'm happy to just wait and see what happens from here. The baby is moving heaps all day long so I know he/she is okay in there and that makes me happy to just let him/her decide when they are ready. I think my midwife might start to get a bit antsy at 43 weeks but hopefully we will birth before then! My poor Mum was only supposed to be here for 2 weeks - she thought she would arrive AFTER the baby - and the way it's going she might only get a few days before her flight home again!!

How are you feeling Kita? Are you getting a lot of pressure from friends and family?

I hope all the other Mamas are doing great and enjoying their bundles.. aren't you happy you aren't still pregnant? laugh.gif
