i would choose shannan. He is tough but he can also show true compassion when needed. I just think Michelle and Commando can't really show true compassion. Can't comment yet on Tiffany

I'd either choose Shannon or Michelle, the Commando and Tiffiny. As much as I love the Commando I think the other two would be better trainers to have.

I've just started reading Tiffiny's book and as much as I agree that you can still eat the odd unhealthy thing every now and then and still be healthy. When she was growing up, her parents didn't keep any junk food in the house. To when the book was written she hasn't eaten Hungry Jacks, Maccas or KFC. I do understand that is her choice and she must be extremely healthy.

I haven't seen last nights episode yet, will watch it online tonight.

Good on her for leading a healthy lifestyle and resisiting junk food/take away food. Its good that her parents instilled healthy eating habits in her, but her attitude seemed quite fatalisitc. Eating some junk food is not going to kill you.

Does anyone know how old Michelle is? In the opening bit, she said that she's been a personal trainer for over 20 years. Would that make her late 30's? I thought she would have been younger. She looks good for her age. She looks good for any age. laugh.gif

I agree, but I haven't yet seen the episode but a lot of people are saying the same thing. I eat well maybe 80-85% of the time and I bet she would chuck out most of what I eat.

I only looked this up the other day, Michelle will be 40 this year.

Tiffany baulked at the bruschetta, which while it looked like a not particularly posh one, is still grilled bread with tomatoes and olive oil and other perfectly normal things.

Maybe I'm just weird but I would have never considered a Parma and Chips to be 'junk food' in the same way as maccas or kfc etc. etc. I have eaten very little junk food in my life but will still have pub meals every now and then.

Decembergirl - I do know what you're saying though about how you react to oil and fat etc. if you're not used to it, but I'd be more inclined to think that part of her feeling awful would be from drinking lots of beer as much as anything! Even with a high alcohol tolerance, beer is filling, and carby, and she had at least 1 bottle plus a pint!

Meanwhile, I should probably actually finish watching the episode biggrin.gif

Ah yes, that's very true, and I'd forgotten she also hadn't had alcohol before. Bloody hell, no wonder she felt like death. That's a fairly lethal combo right there!

my prediction the first one to be kicked off would have to be either the mum from the blue team she is seriously in denial, the scene where she was cooking the bacon and eggs and telling Shannon how many eggs and bacon each family member eats and then turns around and tells him" oh but i dont eat this because i dont care for this food i usually have toast and weetbix...lol yeah right lady whatever you reckon

my other contender for first to be booted off would be sarah-jane fancy sleeping in to 3pm and getting up and making that concoction of sour cream, cream, cheese and pasta and filling the bowl to the brim...i wish i had the luxury of sleeping in to 3pm lol !

it will be interesting to see how the commando goes training four women

Ok, I'm only part-way through the first episode BUT:

When Shannon turned up to his family, the food on the table didn't look that bad to me blink.gif Some t-bones, green veggies, mash, some grilled sweet potato blink.gif Granted I wouldn't eat a t-bone every night of the week, but it's hardly a horrific meal...

Also, has Tiffany seriously never eaten a chicken Parma??? It looked like a fairly ordinary one, but I think it's somewhat 'unastrayan' to be bagging the good humble Parma wink.gif and I have definitely eaten a lot of them that are significantly bigger than the one she had blink.gif Not every night of course.

The T-bone on each plate was big enough for three people I wreckon!!!

Perhaps Tiffany has more of a vegetarian diet?

Same here.
Was there not also a wheel of soemthing else on that camembert sandwich?

Tiff's family is disgusting, the way that girl guffawed at the pub was just hideous. I hope she works them harder than anyone else. Foul.

Amy - agree on Bluey's husband, he is gorgeous and I also think the son's GF is really nice.

I'd want Michelle as my trainer. Her body is so amazing I'd want to do what she does. I also think she would be a positive motivator.

Then I'd want the Commando to teach me some CrossFit stuff!

does anyone else think it was really unfair of TBL producers to not disclose to the contestants before temptation that they would have to leave if they got the money

and a bit over Sarah and her 'everyone is out to get me' attitude

Love this year's show. Hate that its only on once a week sad.gif I wish it was every night. I love the extra motivation it give me for losing weight.

Also, I like Tiffany ph34r.gif but that may be because I remember her from her appearances on The Circle as well.

I agree with the comments that 'some junk food is ok' however I think for these contestants, once they start having a little bit of junk food it will soon turn into a bit more and a bit more as it would be reactivating those taste buds and chemicals in the bodies which would be telling them that they need more.

As hard as it maybe and its obvious how much will power each contestant has shown already. I think cold turkey is probably the best options for them.

Quitting junk food can be like quitting any other addiction.

I like all the trainers but I think I would choose either Tiff or Commando. I want someone who's gonna push me to my limits without sympathy cause putting myself in their shows I think I'd need a wake-up call.
