Most welcome wub.gif

Are you doing clomid via your GP or a FS? Are they doing scans near ovulation? For us, we went through my FS, and we did letrozol days 2-7 (i thin) then a scan on day 10-12, maybe another on day 14. Depending on the first scan we would work out where the 'highly intimate business' (ie me being moody saying "hurry up, lets get this over with for another month") should happen, and then we would go a day either side of that.

The end result is so worth it though, and it will happen for you.

smiliekylie - this might help:

I had a natural preg last year but lost it just before christmas. From this it was discovered I had PCOS (non insulin resistant). It was not something they were looking for as I had none of the symptoms of PCOS. Anyway my OB wanted to bugger around before starting clomid and I wasnt happy so my GP sent me to a new FS.

Anyway he did a month of testing, went yep lets start clomid and off I went. I didnt ovulate, he said ok go another month, again I didnt ovulate. After a bit of an email war it was agreed that my 3rd cycle of clomid would be a monitored cycle. It turns out even though my follies were growing I still couldnt ovulate, so we introduced a trigger. I then did 4 cycles with clomid + trigger but no luck.

We moved on to IVF in October. 1st cycle wasnt very good. I responded well and we got 15 eggs but only 2 fertilised and only 1 made it to transfer. Turns out we also have a binding issue so everything is stacked against us.

I just did my 2nd cycle in November. We got 17 eggs, 14 fertilised, we transferred 1 Blasto and froze 7. Unfortunately that cycle hasnt worked either so now we have a month off where we get to try "naturally" again and then come 6 Jan I have a blood test with my clinic so the nurse can speak with my FS and tell me what date to start my clomid as I will be doing a FET. I am actually going to be doing FETs until they work or we run out before we do another Fresh cycle.

So clomid & trigger for me again. I think I am going to ask for extra progesterone support even though you really dont need apparently when they do a FET with OI.

Perhaps you should ring your OB and ask is there a chance of doing a monitored cycle with a trigger shot? If not maybe go and see your GP and get a referral for an actual FS or clinic and go that way.

April - I'm going through a FS. Clomid days 2-6 then onto Progynova from day 7 to 14.
Blood test at day 10 and then ultrasound at day 14 to check for follies.
I'm so moody too, I'm all positive up until O and a few days after, then the rest of the cycle I can't stand being touched... I hope I'm not causing the problem, not bd'ing the whole cycle.
So this cycle is my 2nd one, from 50mg to 100mg. who knows if ??!?!?!!!!??

Serendity - thank you so much for you info, I haven't asked about a trigger shot, I definately will be pushing for more in the new year if we aren't lucky enough to fall this cycle..... NO PRESSURE ON MYSELF AT ALL LOL

I just wanted to update my little thread.

I'm on my second cycle of clomid, this month I've gone up to 100mg.

So I'm 9dpo. I haven't really got any symptoms as such, a few cramps today, get a few small waves of nausea and a little heartburn but honestly I don't know if its just in my head.
And sorry TMI but my nipples are really really sensitive but not my boobs. Someone mentioned the sensitive nipples is just the clomid but god its frustrating not knowing.

I actually did O this month, WOOHOO - Very painful actually.

For the first time in my life I have a little bit of hope at this pregnancy deal! Very very small amount of hope. Actually its a very very very VERY small amount of hope. I have had so much failure, I'm expecting more failure. We will see what comes.

I want to test now, right this second but god I don't want the disappointment, I would just cry. I'll leave it till this weekend, thats if I don't cave and get some HPTs.

Nothing significant to add really Kylie, just letting you know I have my fingers crossed for you. Failure (especially constant failure and the disappointment that comes with it) is very hard- so I really hope the news is good. I took clomid when doing my FET cycles last year and did get slightly sore nipples and boobs but not overly painful, since starting treatment that hasn't been too uncommon for me.
Hope you get your good news soon smile.gif
