it's oh so quiet, shhh shhhh.
Well thought I would update you all on what's happening in our world.
Aiden is now 6 months old. Went to the nurse on Thursday and he measured at 70cms and 7.5kgs
technicly he should have weighed in at 8kgs (double his birth weight) but as DH and I would be thin people if we ate better LOL then there is no reason why Aiden should be big, so I am happy with the weight, he's chubby enough.
While we did start solids a little while ago, I was very slack and kinda let off for a while and also Aiden refused them while he had a cold the other weeks, so this meant he was feeding every two hours, including at night, which was kinda killing me, he's still waking every two hours but I'm managing not to feed as often and stretching it to four hours.
So we are back on the solids train, and I have a freezer full of puree. I would have loved to do the baby led weaning, but he's just too hungry to let me do that, I did give him some soldier toasts yesterday to see how he would go, but he just doesn't have the coordination for that yet.
How are you all dealing with the cold? we have a heater in Aidens room during the night while we are awake but we turn it off when we go to sleep, which means it does get quite chilly, it's a column oil heater so pretty safe, I am wondering if I should leave it on low all night and would this maybe stop him waking so often, I'm just a little nervous doing this.
We are starting swimming lessons this week, it's exciting but I have just realised this does mean me in a swiming costume, but it will be good for Aiden as he is a bundle of energy and needs somewhere to expel it.
And finally, I have sent my letter to work about going back
I really don't want to but if we want to eat and pay bills and if I don't want to deal with DH being annoying about me (not working) he so doesn not get that what I do is working. then I have to. Oh well, it's just until no#2 comes along, and then I might take 2 years and go back part time only. I now know why my mum waited until we were older to go back to work full time, and then it was only 4 days a week.
