Thanks Em - I am still in shock from what she has said - but I'm trying to not let it get to me. I just don't understand why some people are so unkind sad.gif

Alicia - Some people are just not very nice sad.gif It's a shame you don't get to choose family! In repsonse to your question: definitely gassy ph34r.gif (poor family) but not so much in the no. 2 department! Since having Lachie I've had hemorrhoids, so I think I've been avoiding it as much as possible (sorry more TMI!) Glad that Mat had a good visit the other day, must make things a bit easier. My tips for toilet training Zoe are: NOT to do it with a newborn!!!! tongue.gif, we put Alyssa on the toilet every morning as soon as she woke up and I think it helped to get her used to the idea. Apart from that we just followed her lead and she's been pretty much dry for about the past week biggrin.gif I did have a nervous trip to my Mums on Monday with A in undies in the car though ph34r.gif .

Beth - Lachie gained his birth weight back about a week after birth, but he only lost about 150g, so he didn't have much to make up and he's a guts when it comes to milk. I hope the nurse eases up on you soon. Just remember the intentions are good, even if they are a bit over the top about it. You'd think she'd realise that you've done this before and already have 3 beautiful, healthy children! Once we leave hospital here, it's up to us to go and get the baby weighed at the local chemists or go back to the hospital at set times. We don't have home visits, so maybe that is a good thing sometimes.

Janelle - I hope that Lucas's sticky eyes get better very soon and his jaundice continues to improve. I had to laugh at your FIL keeping Lucas up and your DH considering calling him during the night. I'm a bit like that sometimes too! It's great that your DH has great leave. You're not going to want him to go back!

Kristy - I hope everything is going well smile.gif

I'm finding it not too bad with the 2 kids so far, but having said that I've only had 2 days where I have been solely looking after them with no Grandparents or Dad! I think the trickiest thing is to try and feed and supervise toileting at the same time! Earlier in the week I actually attempting cooking at Miss A's request only to have Lach 'request' a feed. I ended up walking around the kitchen feeding L. with my left arm and cooking with my right. Alyssa was helping open containers and was a good helper except for the amount of raw ingredients she ate sad.gif

I'm getting Lachie weighed again tomorrow. I know he's putting on weight, so I'm keen to find out how much smile.gif Oh I have a terrific baby brain story - I ordered all Lachie's thank you cards and spelled Michael wrong ohmy.gif (Micheal blink.gif ) Neither DH or I saw it until it was too late, so now I have 60 duds.

Karryn Thanks for the TT tip - I'll be waiting a bit longer me thinks - maybe try around Jan/Feb. It is great that Alyssa is going so well with it though - sounds like you are doing a good job smile.gif. It's also good to hear that you are coping okay with the 2 kidlets by yourself - I will have my first solo day next Thursday so that should be interesting! Good luck at the weigh in tomorrow!

Grace had her first unsettled period tonight which lasted for about an hour. My dad just rocked the bassinet until she fell asleep- I think if I was in there I would of picked her up straight away - I find it really hard not to. I'm just hoping that we don't have a horror night tonight - I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we can just do the usual feeds and back to bed.

Child youth and health called up today and they are going to come out next Thursday to do a check up and Grace's hearing test. It will be the first time that she is weighed since she was 5 days old so it will be interesting to see how much weight she has put on.

Nothing else exciting going on here - I think I need to get to bed though - who knows how much sleep I will be getting tonight.

Alicia - Hope Grace's unsettled periods are few and far between for you. Your Dad is a trooper smile.gif

Beth - I forgot to ask: How are you going with the blues? I hope you're feeling a bit better smile.gif

Lachie seems to be getting very windy lately and quite unsettled because of it. Gone are the days of 3-5 hours between feeds. He seems to want to feed 3 hourly or less to make his tummy feel better sad.gif I hate this cycle as I know that the more often I feed him the worse it makes the wind sad.gif So I'm playing around with giving him more milk and trying to stretch out his feeds when I can.

He weighed in at 3.76 yesterday, a gain of just under 400g ohmy.gif

I actually have 2 kids asleep biggrin.gif I've had a quick nap and now it's me time with a coffee in front of the computer!!!

Hope you're all well

Karryn That is a great weight gain smile.gif - I hope the unsettled periods don't last long for you either. We are currently having one here at the moment sad.gif but Grace is with Pop. I think I have to take over soon though - I hate it when they are unsettled!

I tried bathing Zoe and Grace together tonight - and I don't think I will be doing that again in a hurry - tears from both of my little girls sad.gif oh well. Apart from that the day has been good smile.gif. Although I am looking forward to Grace going down to sleep - she is quite unsettled sad.gif

Hope everyone else is well.

Alicia - It's a shame the bath didn't go well sad.gif Lachie seems to love the water (so far!) Alyssa has had quite a few baths with him and doesn't seem to mind. I think he's still a novelty! So hopefully Zoe and Grace start to enjoy each others company in the bath soon smile.gif.

Alicia - Hope Grace settles down for you.. We still haven't had very many unsettled times but I'm sure they will come sooner rather then later! Bath times can be pretty stressful with one baby, let alone TWO! I just bath Abi in the bathroom sink or have a shower with her when the bigger kids are in bed smile.gif

Karryn - Go Lachie on the weight gain! Do you get lots of comments about him being so little? We seem to get lots comments about how tiny Abi is! Hope he's wind pain settles soon too.

WOOT! Abi gained 180g in 4 days biggrin.gif biggrin.gif So all the feeding is doing something! I think the slow weight gain was due to the birth and how stressed out i was so my milk took its time to come in..

Still feeling a little blue sad.gif Thursday night and Friday was pretty bad.. But hubby took me out Friday afternoon for a coffee and i felt heaps better after that! I'm thinking i might need to start going out a least once a day just to get out of the house.

Miss Abigail such a good little girl last night wub.gif Slept from 9pm to 3.30am (With a dream feed at 10.30pm) So i got a good amount of sleep smile.gif And feeling so much better for it. Hoping to fit in a nap before we go to my cousins birthday party at 3.30 today.

Should be off Olivia has yet another birthday party to go to today and need to get everyone ready.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Beth Great to hear that Abigail is making some good weight gain smile.gif and even better that you got some decent rest last night. I hope the blues don't last long for you - I think getting out daily sounds like a really good idea - even if it is just for a short walk.

I think the bath didn't go well last night because Grace was too hungry and was rather upset when I was drying/dressing her - and in turn that freaked out Zoe and made her cry too. Also Zoe is still a bit wary of Grace - a little bit scared of her sometimes still - so that added to the stress too. I decided to bath Grace this morning instead so that is all done and then I can just concentrate on Zoe tonight.

Grace calmed down at about 9pm last night - I then fed her and put her to bed at 9:30, she slept through until 2am and then had another feed at 5, and then 6:30 and then slept until 9. So a pretty good night smile.gif

Not doing much here today - would go for a walk but it looks like it is about to rain so I'm not risking it.

Hope everyone is well smile.gif

Amanda Can't wait to see you in here smile.gif

Janelle Hope Lucas settles down for you soon.

Things are still going well here smile.gif - we went out shopping this morning and I had Zoe in the pram and Grace in my Close carrier - got lots of people trying to take a peep at the baby laugh.gif. I went over to visit my best friend last night - the poor thing her husband moved out last week sad.gif she seems optimistic that things are going to work out and they will get back together. But coming from my experience I'm worried for her sad.gif.

Not much else going on here today - having a family dinner tonight with my mum and dad (interesting since they are divorced) - we are going to have a lovley chicken dish with roast potatoes and salad and then pavlova for dessert - yummy!!

Hope everyone is going well smile.gif

Im back laugh.gif Just settled in at home and i've had internet issues for the last week Grrr but all sorted now biggrin.gif

Were going ok, Finn pretty much sleeps & eats so has been a pretty cruisy bub so far. This time my milk came in so am BF'ing him which is taking some getting used to (K was FF from birth as it just didnt work last time i think i was too anxious) but were getting there. He lost 325grams from his birth weight and i have the CHN coming tomorrow for our first visit so cant wait to see what he's gained & if me feeding him is working. Loving being a 2nd time mummy, im actually getting more done and am way more relaxed then i was the first time, K still tests my patience some days but no worse then before Finn was born so i think she's just being a 2yo laugh.gif Although i wish she'd stop putting books on him and expecting him to read when she does, poor kid doesnt get that he cant read yet tongue.gif
MIL is here from NZ until friday so thats been good too.

Sorry for the lack of personals but i will get more into it now im back online

Hope your all well & the bubs are going well biggrin.gif
