Im here smile.gif

Abigail is 9.5 months old now!! *cry* I want my tiny newborn back! Actually I'm a little sad about not having anymore sad.gif I think I'll never feel done.. But I'm sure once the babystage is over and done, and i get a little bit of freedom back I'll be OK about not having anymore children.

Abi can say Dad, Cat, Mum and now Nan, She's such a clever little thing wub.gif She's commando crawling, but so slow at it laugh.gif She starting to pull herself up on things (usually me!) She's my velcro baby and LOVES me a little too much sometimes blush.gif We are still co-sleeping, but now fulltime. Still feeding through the night, usually 2-3 times, hoping to start nightweaning soon but wanna get her eating more solids and when shes finally gets over this cold she's had for weeks!

Also need to start thinking about her Birthday! what have you got planned Kristy?

F is now pulling himself up & standing (while holding things) and starting to cruise furniture..a bit earlier than K did so i was a little surprised laugh.gif
Still only has his 2 bottom teeth but like you Beth im shocked that he is 9.5 months old already!
He can say bub, mama, dada, nana, tata and can wave and clap wub.gif

Im a bit undecided about his birthday to have it at home or in a park so still deciding (and maybe stalling just a little tongue.gif)

Beth- Glad Abi is doing well biggrin.gif

wow, that's fantastic guys, a couple of little talkers!

Lucas has just learnt Babababa and loves it - he looks at his ball and goes baaa, sees his puppy toy and goes ba...ba... and he will look if we ask him where his swing, ball, puppy, mummy, daddy, puppy, train, spoon and rattle are. He's not showing any sign of crawling or pulling up or anything yet, and I think we'll be waiting a while. He said Muuummmmmmmm for a while aaages ago, but since then his only 'mmm' sounds are closed mouth, no further sounds.

I'm back to work next week (5 days/fortnight) and very nervous!

Hi everyone

I haven't been on here for ages or on the computer much in general lately. Our family's sicknesses continue to plague us sad.gif We get better from one thing only for someone else to get another. So over it! I'm glad it's spring now. The weather has been lovely and I hope that helps us. Alyssa has stopped going to kindy as of last week. She was going one day (when healthy) and was getting so upset when I left so we've stopped for a while. I'm sure this will help as well!

Lachie is nearly 11 months and yep I'm starting to get organised for his birthday. I can't believe how fast this year has gone. A friend put it well saying that with her first child, the year felt 365 days long but with her second maybe only 200! It's going too fast.

Lachie is crawling very quickly now and just takes off whenever he gets the opportunity. He started pulling up on the furniture almost as soon as he started crawling (about 8 1/2) months. He is now cruising the furniture quite well and I'm sure he'll be walking by his birthday. He has two little teeth and is cutting one of the top ones at the moment. I'm still breastfeeding him and every so often he gives me a little bite just to be cheeky! Alyssa was already one when she got her first tooth, so she understood a little more that it hurt!

He absolutely adores Alyssa and loves to give her cuddles and she is wonderful with him too except for when he gets a handful of her curls sad.gif He's doing most things earlier than Alyssa too. I think he just wants to be able to keep up with her smile.gif

He's talking lots of baby talk, but nothing specific other than Mummum and Daddad. He's a good eater, but whenever he's been sick he goes completely off food and subsequently he's still eating alot of mushy foods and only just starting to get the idea of feeding himself finger foods.

Apart from that we're thinking about moving soon, to try and get a bit more room especially as we think we will try for number three next year. Anyone else considering another bubba?

Looking forward to hearing about all the first birthdays coming up and I'll be checking out any FB photos smile.gif

Can you believe it?! Our November babies will be 1 soon! And Mr early bird Lachie has already had a birthday smile.gif Who's next? Lucas I think?

Haven't really planned anything for Abigail's Birthday, thinking of lunch at the park with the family or maybe the beach? Abigail loves water so I think she would have a blast hanging by the beach. biggrin.gif

How's everyone else going?

Nyrrak - Did Lachie end up walking by his birthday?

No walking here lots of crawling, and walking while holding on but I'm pretty sure walking will be months away yet! Enjoying every little bit of being a mumma to her but feeling sad that she is becoming a toddler so fast sad.gif She's STILL night feeding, I'm over it but i haven't worked out how to go about night weaning yet. unsure.gif

I've joined the gym and started running again smile.gif It feels nice starting to do things for ME again!

Hope everyone else is well xx

Yep, Lucas is next, his birthday is Wednesday. No crawling or walking here, but he's started to TRY to weight bear, so touch wood we'll end up with good news smile.gif

He's started to say DADDY a LOT. He only just figured out the D sound, and as soon as he grasped it, everything is Daddy this and Daddy that laugh.gif

Lucas is having a bbq at the park next Sunday. i've ordered the proper food colourings and will be making his cake, so wish me luck! I'm going to copy the car from the front of his favourite book (Baby Touch "Beep Beep")

He's such a 'toddler' now as well Beth. Isn't it amazing how fast the first year goes, compared to pregnancy! Just think, this time last year we were all waiting uncomfortably to meet our little ones, and wondering how much longer we'd all go!

Come on girls! We need to catch up! Hows everyone going?

jantastic - Good luck with the cake! smile.gif I failed pretty badly at my kids birthday cakes in the past so I'm not trying this year laugh.gif Abigail also says Dada lots, even when she wants me!! LOL

It goes way too fast, Was thinking this time last year we were on holidays and I was praying i wouldn't go into labour!

Does Lucas like the jumping jolly? I know they ain't meant to be good for babies hips (??) or back (??) or something like that but maybe that will help with weight bearing?

Questions:

1: Is your baby sleeping through the night yet?

2: How many naps a day?

3: What's your baby eating now? How many BF/bottles and what sorts of foods do they like?

4: Best and worst part of being a mumma to a nearly 1 year old?

Also tried to make a face book group but not sure if it worked or not.. Mmm..

I'm still here!

Some days I'm ok, some days not. My anxiety is coming back and I'm not sure why. I don't think it has to do with Andrew, I think it has to do with house buying/money etc

My little man is crawling and cruising heaps, he is very good and sitting down from standing, and he is trying to climb up on to things. So far he is able to climb into my lap, and up onto his bouncer. He is starting to say words that I am able to recognise, like our dogs names, Daddy but not really mummy sad.gif he loves to read and chatter, and loves it if I sing.

We are already thinking about number 2! I don't want to miss out on spending time one on one with Andrew, but am looking forward to having another baby.

Janelle - I saw your cake on google+ and it looks great! You did such a great job. Andrew's birthday is still a month away so have just sent out invitations to his party. We've invited 35 people - 28 adults and 7 kids so should be interesting!!

1: Is your baby sleeping through the night yet? No, he usually wakes up once at about midnight for a BF. But sometimes he wakes up (like last night) at 2.30 and is wide awake and wants to play blink.gif I think it is his teeth though? Who knows!

2: How many naps a day? Usually 1-2, I think he is leaning towards just having one big nap in the middle of the day but sometimes he still has a nap at 7am.

3: What's your baby eating now? How many BF/bottles and what sorts of foods do they like? Still BF, maybe 3-5 times a day (after solids). He eats a weetbix mixed with pureed fruit for breakfast, then a biscuit and yohgurt for morning tea, a sandwich for lunch (or something a bit more interesting if I have time like broccoli nuggets) afternoon tea is fruit and if he is hungry something else like dried fruit. Dinner he will eat what we eat if I get it on the table by 6, otherwise I try to make vegetables look interesting and feed them to him. He goes gaga over mandarins and yoghurt (not together!) they are by far and away his favourite food. I am doing baby led weaning.

4: Best and worst part of being a mumma to a nearly 1 year old? Best part is the beautiful smiles and cuddles I get now, he has such an adorable personality. Worst part is - its so time consuming! I never seem to have any time to myself, or am doing housework and don't have time to play with him. Well thats how it feels anyway.

Im still here just have limited internet access and time these days lol

1 week until my baby is one but he already seems so much older then K did at the same age..he has been walking since around 10.5 months or so and is now pretty confident and has learnt to start climbing so he is def keeping me busy.
He has 5 teeth with the 6th one due to break through any day now and learnt to say Ball today which is around 7 or so words he uses regularly.
he is just so toddler like already..K was still quite babyish at this age so its different and makes me a little sad that he has grown up way to fast but he is an affectionate little guy so always looking for cuddles <3

Here are my answers to your questions Beth smile.gif

1: Is your baby sleeping through the night yet? Mostly but will have a wake up around 2am when teething or if he has a dirty nappy

2: How many naps a day?
2 naps a day usually for around 1-2hrs at 10.30am-12.30 then about 2.30pm-4ish

3: What's your baby eating now? How many BF/bottles and what sorts of foods do they like?
He is still eating family foods i think i just started giving him what we were having around 10.5 months and now will eat anything i actually worry i will have to lock the fridge once he figures that out because this boy would eat non stop laugh.gif
Breakfast is usually a weetbix & milk or a piece of toast
Morning tea is a biscuit or fruit
Lunch is a sandwich, dinner left overs or anything else i make
Afternoon tea is usually cheese/crackers/yoghurt etc
Dinner: Whatever we have so something with meat and vegies most nights
Because he is a week away from 1 we are starting to introduce cows milk so only has 1 bottle a day.

4: Best and worst part of being a mumma to a nearly 1 year old?
That he is almost 1...i cant believe how fast a year has gone with him i miss him being a needy baby in a way he is mr independant these days but still cuddly and a mummys boy hehe
Best part is the way he can make me melt with his crinkly eye/nose smile and watching him turn into a little boy (its a bit bittersweet for me i was the same about a week before K's 1st birthday) another best part is how him and K are best friends and now he can walk and play they get along better then ever..so weird to think this time last year i was worried i was taking something away from her i think he was the best thing that could have happened to her she loves him so much smile.gif

geez sorry about the novel!
