Ok, so...

I posted a little while ago that hubby and I have broken up. It was a horrible messy time and it took us a little while to come to the point of breaking up but there was so much hurt there, I just couldn't live with him anymore.

The thing is, while we were going through all that, I got in touch with someone from my past. It was instant and electric - the emotional effect we had (have) on each other. He was in a failing relationship as well and both asked the question, are we rebounding? Is it a 'grass is greener' type of attraction? Are we romanticising the past? So, we decided (rightly or wrongly) to meet up. And far out, everything about the few days we had together was just - perfect.

He lives in another country, and since that first meeting I've been to see him over there and we've met in the middle in Melbourne and each time we're together things just get better. We spend hours on the phone, I'm going back to see him in a few weeks, he's coming here for christmas and new year and is sorting some stuff out to come and live here with me. The amount of love we have for each other is completely unfathomable! We have no idea how or why we feel so strongly but neither of us has ever been in love like this wub.gif We're a perfect fit in every way and he absolutely adores me.

I wasn't looking for or wanting this so soon after a marriage break-up but I can't seem to help it! One thing I really love about him is that he's a father too so he understands implicitly that Zack comes first. Long distance isn't easy but it's absolutely worth it smile.gif

So, there you have it. Sometimes life throws stuff at you that you don't expect. But I'm so happy and wouldn't change it for anything smile.gif

Wow Lisa. Sounds like you've been through a bit recently (sorry, I missed your marriage break up post) - but sounds like things are heading in the right direction for you. All the best.

Whatever makes you happy Lisa smile.gif
I'm sure you'll have friends warn you off and some that encourage it - you shouldn't feel the need to justify time between the marriage and your new relationship - it's nobody's business but your own! It's great that he understands your priorities, sounds positive!

Wishing you every happiness!

Wow Lisa that is awesome!

I have been talking to guy from High school through facebook, but he lives in Vic, so I cannot see it progressing anywhere as he cannot move as he does not want to leave his kids and I will not move back there. Oh well, he is good to talk to!

Thanks for the support, everyone smile.gif That's the thing - I AM happy! Sometimes I still don't believe it and I don't think I deserve it but it's definitely there.

Vanessa TBH I wouldn't wish the long-distance-with-kids thing on anyone, it's a challenge to say the least! But sometimes the heart just wants what the heart wants...

Of course you deserve it Lisa! Everyone deserves happiness.

Yeah we are both not really talking about it, just being good mates.

I have been in the same situation, and it's it just WONDERFUL.
Sometimes life is just a test, to get you to the point where you can just relax and appreciate it.
Well done, and all the best. It is so true, everyone deserves happiness, really makes you think that there is someone out there that is perfect for you, that person doesn't have to be perfect to be perfect for you.
So happy for you.
