Ohhhh wub.gif
Sounds so sweet and lovely... wub.gif wub.gif

I think you should give it a go!! Seems like you have managed to get out of a relationship last time without ruining your friendship... So IF things didnt work out again im sure you could still have friendship at least!

Sounds like you guys are great friends... which is really what my husband is... my best friend... i love him with all my heart, love spending time with him... we care for eachother and look after eachother.

Sounds far to special to keep just as friends wub.gif

What IF you don't?

In all honesty, you'd be starting a relationship on a solid friendship which is a great foundation. Obviously there's still some attraction of sorts between you both biggrin.gif

All you need to do now is find out if he wants it to be serious .. and if so, I vote go for it biggrin.gif

Good luck!

^^^ Yep, I agree. IMO, better to go for it and find out than forever wonder.

Your post made me think back to the early days of my relationship wub.gif , I miss that feeling (not that the current feeling is not great, just different IYKWIM).

I married my first serious boyfriend after we broke up. There were three years in between too. Sometimes you need to grow up before you're 'right' for each other.

It sounds like he's very keen. I like how you haven't just jumped into bed with him (which can cloud the issue in most cases) and you're taking it slowly.

The just-getting-together part of the relationship is so much fun, so enjoy.

Good luck!

I think it sound very promising - you already have a solid friendship and he is obviously keen if he is kissing you and using pet names. I agree it has probably been wise to not cloud issues with sex. Good luck with the date night

Hi girls!

This may be a bit of an epic so brace yourselves laugh.gif

So three years ago I was going out with this guy who was absolutely lovely and we had heaps of fun together and all that other naww stuff. But we got together at really stressful time in both our lives - i had just come out of a 5 year relationship (that ended very, very acrimoniously) and he was starting a new business so after 7 months we ended it. But not for any bad reason it was more like a mutual tanty at one another that went slightly too far.

So we've actually stayed really good friends, we would go out for dinner and coffee and be each others "plus one" for things when there was no one else and we have a lot of mutual friends (in fact our best friends are brother and sister).

So over the last couple of months i've been thinking what if things had been different and we'd met at a different stage in our life - but never really thought much more about it. I still am very attracted to him.

So (phew thanks for getting this far) he's been ill for the last week so i popped over to take him some groceries and stuff and we ended up snuggled up on the couch together for 6 hours talking and having the odd kiss etc, and then i caught his silly bug and so he came over last night and lay in bed with me watching tv, rubbing my back and putting flannels on my head and shoulder (had a massive fever). I'm thinking he might still like me too??? Maybe? unsure.gif

So my question is this - can the great What If We Got Back Together ever work?? Has it worked for anyone?

Yep, we're now married with a beautiful daughter wub.gif
