It's very sweet. I'm huge on love ballads and this ticks all the right boxes but on saying this, I will admit I do think it's a bit sappy and cliché (like most love songs!). It's your hubby that will be dancing this with you so you'll need his opinion. If it suits you both and says in music what words can't, then go for it.

I know it is a bit cliche!! Its soooo hard to find a nice song and that hasnt been usesd at every wedding, also something a bit more modern too. Oh well will keep searching!!!! Thanks for your opinion biggrin.gif

Are you planning to dance or sway IYKWIM? I think the song is a bit too slow for a first dance, romantic yes - but I'm trying to picture someone dancing to the beat (maybe give it a try and see how comfortable it feels?).

If too awkward and seeing as this is a sweet song, perhaps use it for the cake cutting or other event at the reception?

Good luck, I know what you mean with regarding to picking an original song!

I'll preface this by saying my speakers are stuffed, so I can't hear your song.

I searched and searched for the 'perfect' songs for our wedding. I wanted something completely different and a bit original. I SWORE against using anything commercial or cliche.

I ended up with really beautiful songs, but after only 2 years, I couldn't tell you the names, or even hum you the tunes. I also think it was a bit boring for our guests because they couldn't hum along, or recognise a lot of the lyrics straight away.

Every now and again I hear Amazed by Lonestar, and I know 2 or 3 people that had that, and I get a lovely feeling remembering their weddings, then get sad that I will never ever hear my song randomly on the radio or in a store.

If I had my time again, I'd definately choose something a bit left of centre, but still 'known' if that makes sense.

Good luck with your choice, I'm sure it will be perfect.

Love it! If your hubby to be is for it then why not?

It is a bit slow and may be more of a walking down the aisle song?
