Will do a list and post properly when I have two hands, but just welcoming all new mums and bubs smile.gif

Hooray!! I have been hoping that this group could start soon biggrin.gif Louisa... once again you are proving to be super woman/ mum, by managing to start this thread at 4am whilst doing a feed! laugh.gif

Looking forward to chatting with all our Mummies in here very soon! wub.gif

Super woman not much longer biggrin.gif have been up since 4am and the only time I get sleep is when I'm feeding. The feed just finished I kept on falling asleep and poor Eddie would slip off.... I had hubby talking to me to keep me awake and I'd drift into a dream mid-sentence and start talking gobbledygook at him.

Our little dreamer is off milk-drunk in the nursery tonight and I have to catch up on some sleep.....

Fewer visitors tomorrow so hopefully I can try to return to normality a little, although my milk arrived with a bang today and I went from a D cup to an i-don't know cup in about 3 hours. Just been sitting here with ice-packs down my top, and even having just fed they're about to pop off the bed they're that big wacko.gif

Hope everyone else is well and asleep like normal people, and I'll be back with more coherency tomorrow smile.gif

ps Louise I cannot believe that our babies share part of their name biggrin.gif

PS - I left the adjective out of the thread title - thought when there's a few more of us here we can vote on it biggrin.gif

Maybe Outstanding is a bit much since we don't really know what they'll be like yet wub.gif

Outrageous? Omnipotent?

Good idea re the adjective - I have been trying to think of one and couldn't so didn't start the thread!!

I'm jealous of your milk Louisa! Mine is slowly dwindling and the formula is taking over sad.gif I was really upset about it at first, but am slowly getting used to it. I just thought it would work this time as I fed Emma for almost a year. I just need to get used to the logistics of feeding with formula when I am out - it is so much easier just to stick them on the breast! I've been expressing, but not getting much out - takes me a day of expressing after every feed to get a decent feed for her. She is happy and settled though, so I guess that is the main thing.

My little bubba is a little mixed up - she is doing a lot of sleeping - but waking every 2 hours over night but feeding every 2.5 - 3 in the day time....it would be nice if she could swap that round a bit! Even though my hubby is back at work, he has been doing one or two feeds at night which is helpful.

Anyway, looks like Kate is getting sleepy - so I might try and have a rest while she does - Emma is on a play date!

Good to see some action in here! biggrin.gif Yes good idea re- the adjective... lets just say that I would not describe either me OR the baby as being outstanding at the moment! Well.... not yet anyway! laugh.gif

Well 3 nights so far at home and last night was probably the worst. Liam was very unsettled through the night and crying through the majority of it wacko.gif The worst part is that we could not for the life of us figure out what the heck was wrong, but most likely bad wind pain sad.gif because he was so unsettled this made the night-time feeds an absolute nightmare... his body was tense like he was resisting latching on and he was trying to scratch/ claw a lot with his sharp little finger nails on my boobs wacko.gif After such a shocking night and next to no sleep we ended up ringing DH's parents who came down to help us out for a while.... wouldn't you know it Grandparents walk in and there is Liam looking like a little angel sleep.gif Well.... for a while anway! laugh.gif He then promptly kicked back into unsettled mode though!!

Tonight we are planning on feed, bath, top-up feed then bed so will see how that goes and if it helps make him any more settled. Mummy reeeaaalllyyy needs some sleep soon.

Silvaa, hope that you are going ok.... Sorry to hear about the feeding issues etc, but its not something that you or anyone else can control. Thinking of you at this time, also hats off to you for managing your 2 little ones, I am finding it hard with one! Good thing Emma has play dates arranged! blush.gif

Louisa, I find the name thing really funny for some reason (in a good way!) there are similiarites with our sons names as well as ours laugh.gif there seems to be a lot of similiarities really! I put it down to the fact that we have such good taste! laugh.gif

Am wondering who will be joining us here next! anyone heard any other news from some of our other Mummies? waiting waiting.... not long to go now!

No baby here yet either lol. Truffles we went through weeks of hell when ash was born because of wind. Things that helped for us was burping her more often, keeping her head elevated when she was laying down, cycling her legs, and then finally when she was 3 weeks we started her on infacol. The infacol was a godsend and we had a different baby! Don't hesitate to PM me if you need to vent/ask about wind!

*Stalking*

Hi guys and congratulations on your new arrivals!!! Thought I might stick my head in here from time to time as Seamus was pretty close to be an Oct baby...some of the bubbies in the Sept group are already a month old (actually most of them really, we had a heavy 'birth load' at the start of Sept) so my little one will probably do things more in line with your little ones.

Louisa I LMAO at your description of your boobs laugh.gif Get piccies...you'll never believe it when you look back on them this time next year wink.gif

Nice to hear from you Ros smile.gif So sorry to hear about your milk sad.gif Are there reasons why it would work with one baby and not the next? I know so little about it. My problem is stopping getting infections because there's a bit more than bubby can really cope with and they didn't want me to express just now in case it encouraged more production. He's ok but not feeding for very long and then bringing half of it back up (not reflux at least) because it just doesn't fit. He spent yesterday pretty much drunk - either feeding or sleeping it off. He's been a bit more lively today, including deciding to stay awake between feeds ohmy.gif which coincided with a physio session at the hospital that I really wanted to attend, so Simon was left for 30 minutes with upset tired baby (a taste of things to come!).

Even for me who can normally eat a horse, I have been astounded by the amount of food I'm putting away at the moment wacko.gif I've been ordering almost double-size meals and saving everything, and by now I've eaten all the spares - I end up doing the night feeds with muesli, and fresh fruit, and dessert from the previous dinner, and a friend even brought round a tub of home-made hummous and a heap of fruit buns yesterday, which lasted until 7am this morning biggrin.gif I'm also drinking heaps of water, which they said is normal as your vascular system restores itself after working double-time for 9 months!

The physio checked my stomach because I said I was pretty sure I had had muscle separation, and it's over 3cms so she's given me a compression thing to wear to 6 weeks :-o I feel like an overstuffed sausage, but at least it gives me some semblance of a normal figure again biggrin.gif

I haven't seen our obs again sad.gif they thought he might pop into see me today but no sign. I'd love to ask him some questions about the labour to try to find out why things happened how they did and if there was anything we could have done differently (I don't think so, but I'm not sure biggrin.gif). The nurses tell me that he operates very well and is fabulous at the closures leaving very little scars which is nice - it definitely doesn't hurt at all which is good.

ETA that above thread was actually written nearly 24 hours ago but the hospital wifi was playing silly buggers so I only just got to post it.

Truffles - sorry to hear about your night sad.gif We've only had a few (so far) incidences where we cannot tell what's wrong, but I'm waiting for many more in the future wacko.gif

Ros - just read your thread on PND sad.gif I hope everything is ok and that the medication kicks in soon.

Quite funnily with the names things, our middle name for a girl was going to be Kate wub.gif so if we'd had a girl I would have shared that with Ros!!

Lovely to have visitors in this thread! Can't wait for more of you to join us. Porthos you're welcome any time because really your baby was so close to all of ours.

I've really enjoyed our stay in the hospital - it was one of our big reasons for going private, as I thought we could do with all the help we could get. It will be a shock to suddenly be on our own though - we've been almost (well, Edward and I) hermetically sealed in a nice comfy room for 5 days with people bringing us food and cleaning up after us etc. etc. biggrin.gif It has been so good though having the midwives here to help. They have all been so wonderful and happy to answer all the most inane of questions.

My boobs have settled down a *bit* since the night before but we're down to feeding on one boob only each feed because he was drinking more than he could hold by miles and then bringing it up over everything and anyone biggrin.gif (namely, me!) and he slept 4.5 hours between feeds and the boob that was due was leaking everywhere and about to burst... I ended up standing over a basin of hot water with it dripping everywhere.... They tell me it'll settle down in a day or two and go back to something resembling a piece of my regular anatomy.

I've been feeling really good physically since the op, but went outside yesterday and chatted to one of my friends on the phone for 20 minutes or so, while shuffling slowly around the carpark (didn't qualify as walking really) and by the time I came back inside I was exhausted ohmy.gif I'll really have to make a conscious effort to take things really really slowly and carefully when I go back home.

I just looked at our little boy and thought it can't be only 4 days ago that he came into our lives and changed them forever ohmy.gif Such a dividing point in our lives! I was so scared about it beforehand, and so much less so now wub.gif

Good to hear from you both Louise and louisa.

As you saw from my PND post, I'm not doing too well but I don't want to drag that into this thread!

I've pretty much decided to start FF, I don't know why it worked for Emma and not for Kate. Kate seems to be a much hungrier bub, so I don't think i have enough to satisfy her. She is certainly more settled since I started comp feeding and is totally not interested in my nipple! I feel guilty but trying to think of the positives of her and me being happier.

We went on our first solo outing today, she slept most of the time and I had a coffee and some toast. I had to take something back and then I fed her and we went home. Fairly successful outing. It made me feel better too, not so anxious and down. I have to go out this afternoon again to get my whooping cough vaccine and pick up some things from woolies, so hopefully all is good again

Ros it's great to hear you had a successful outing, I need to go get the whooping cough booster aswell once bubs arrives. Please don't beat yourself up about FF, you are doing what is best for her and you and that's the main thing. I know I can't BF so FF is the only way for me. I will go and look for your other thread in a sec. Hope your 2nd outing today goes well!

Louisa I have this vision in my head of you with this gigantic cartoon boob that explodes and sprays milk everywhere laugh.gif I was so disappointed last time my boobs didn't grow at all, not even one tiny bit! I was really looking forward to that bit after spending my life with tiny boobs LOL. Unfortunately I found out that due to a medical condition they were never going to grow so at least I knew this time not to get my hopes up laugh.gif How much longer are you in hospy for? And yes remember you have had major abdominal surgery and need to take it easy miss!

Ros - yay for first solo outing! I can't imagine how I'm going to go wrangling this little one in public on my own biggrin.gif I'll learn I guess. It sounds like you've made the right decision regarding FF Kate if she's happier as a result. lots of Hugs on the PND front. If there is anything we can do let us know - I am happy to be an ear at any point.

We've had a funny time (once again!) with my infuriating FIL, who apparently on Sunday night decided that him and my MIL were driving down to Melbourne yesterday, a fact that we didn't find out until Simon called them and got them 100kms north of Melbourne in the car wacko.gif I'll spare you all the ins and outs but they finally turned up to visit at 8pm (end of visiting hours blink.gif) when we'd specifically said we wanted an early night wacko.gif FIL preceded to give me a big hug that definitely didn't take into consideration wounds, bruising, and two huge engorged boobs biggrin.gif The situation was so ridiculous to be comical and I think Simon and I laughed for about an hour after they left. Anyway under it all I think he's a very proud grandfather wub.gif

Our obs dropped in for a visit today - it was lovely to see him, but his visit ended with information that sent me into a bit of a complete meltdown sad.gif I won't go into it now, but that combined with normal hormones means I've been crying for hours, something I'm not really used to. Oh well. I'll elaborate later.

We're off home tomorrow morning smile.gif it'll be lovely to be home and see our first son again (the furry one!) and play a bit of piano. We've got the option to go out for a meal today, and they take the baby into the nursery for a few hours, so we're off for SUSHI!!!! I've been waiting so long to have some, and if the feeds work out timed right I might even be able to have a glass of wine ohmy.gif
