We are planning on going to the Gold Coast for a week after our wedding. It will be a mini honeymoon getaway as our real honeymoon is booked for April.

We've never been to the Gold Coast so we're needing suggestions of places to stay! We are after somewhere central to the theme parks, restaurants & cafes, somewhere with a spa in the room, nice facilities and preferably a nice pool. We don't mind either a hotel or apartment style accomodation. Any suggestions??

PM suggestions thank you!!

Either of the Marriott hotels on the Gold Coast are great. Courtyard is extremely central being on Cavill Ave and is pretty good, the other Marriott is about a 10 min walk from Cavill but has the gorgeous pool etc. I also think where Circle on Cavill shops are has really nice rooms. We always stay at Courtyard by Marriott for location reasons.

Thanks for your reply.

We have actually been looking at the Marriott Resort in Surfers Paradise. I've heard it has a gorgeous pool and a man made beach smile.gif

How far is this resort from restaurants & cafes? We'd like to be able to go out to dinner somewhere different each night and be able to walk to and from our hotel.

The other place we have been looking at is the Sheraton Mirage. Do you have any feedback on this hotel?

The marriot with the awesome pool is a fair walk from Surfers, but doable. Maybe 15-20 min walk? But the pool is A.W.E.S.O.M.E! The Casino is good, as is the mantra resort in broadbeach opp the casino.
