I second that.

Quick question - how much food is everyone eating and what are you eating? I just want to make sure I am (a) eating enough and (cool.gif eating the right things

I'm eating anything and everything I can get my hands on! I'm always hungry so I've made sure I have plenty of snack I can eat one handed and grab quickly. I'm making a batch of lactation cookies today to help with my supply so I think I'll be living on those for a while.

This will be very quick update all about me. Congrats to the newest additions to our group! I'll come back tonight and add them to the first post.

My Mum arrived on Monday and it has been bliss having her here. I was worried she would spoil Emily too much but she is following my routine and rules better then I do sometimes!

Ben is doing really well. He has started to wake up and seems to enjoy playing with Emily on the floor.

We are having some supply issues from early afternoon. I'm going to try some lactation cookies to see if that helps. He will go 4-5 hrs for feeds during the day but nights are still 2-3 hrs.

KAAM and Emtree, have you thought about trying Fenugreek? It is a supplement you can buy at the chemist/health food store and it helps your milk supply. Otherwise, just feeding/expressing heaps helps to up your supply as supply = demand smile.gif

Hi lovelies,

I'm still hanging around, still bloody pregnant & a tad over it, have my hospital appt tomorrow so will see if anything has progressed & then get my induction date.

Missnic - Maddy hated being naked, screamed almost everytime, luckily she just grew out of it.

Hopefully I can read in more detail a little later & join you on the other side, I'll start to post in here from now on as it seems I'm the only mummy left to have my baby (well there's 2 others but don't think they post anymore).

Goodluck with your apt tomorrow Lissie. Let us know what they say a stretch & sweep might help. I had two done.

Thanks MissNic, what hospital did you go to in nsw? I was at stgeorge.
Yes Miss Alex hates nappy change time & being nude! The only time she doesn't scream is when it is a poo, she is happy to have her bum cleaned after a poo!!

My midwife just came over & she is really happy now with Alex. She said they will discharge me next week off their midwife program. It is such a good support program they have at this hospital. Then Friday they ECHC wll visit & do the next weigh in.

Hi All!

I just posted this in our "old" thread and then found you all in here!!!

just a quick pop in before yet another feed it's never ending! (but lovely)

CONGRATULATIONS Miss Nic and KK on the arrival of your boys.... boys and girls are starting to even out! Love both your choices of names! Can't wait to see some piccies of Jack and Connor.

Lena: Congratulations to you too! You had Ashton while I was still in Hosp so I haven't had a chance to welcome your little man! You mentioned you liked the name Jaimeson but couldn't have it on your "list", well we must have excellent taste: Our other Name was Ashton but I vetoed it at the last moment. With our surname it sounded WAY too much like Ashton Kutcher and with him in town (and on the front page of the paper the day after Jai was born) it looked like we were naming him after him!
When I saw your announcement a couple of days later, I was glad of our decision cos it suits your little man! I LOVE the name Ashton and it goes SO well with Zack!

Lissie: Sorry to hear about Maddison; it really seems to be going around. I hope she gets much better soon. Hope we get an announcement SOON!

I will try and come back on soon to post my birth story and try and figure out how to put up piccies of my darling little man. I've missed you guys! It does seems we are LOT quieter in here now that we have our hands a bit more full!

take care of yourselves and your little ones!
xo xo

Just add as well, I hear you all on the wind thing: check. Screaming when naked: check
pooping whilst feeding: check so it seems we all have some "normal" babies biggrin.gif (whatever that means!!) and I too am eating like a fiend! ( so I am a "normal" BFing mummy!)

hugs xo xo

Kaaam: You are a champion, a great mum and I hope you are feeling better!

Hey Starlet.
That is funny that his name would have sounded like Ashton Kutcher!!

I just tried the hug a bub carrier & Alex screamed!! She hated it. I wish I purchase something easier like the one Lena bought! I think her legs were too wide apart. I think the lady in the instructions video see YouTube had drugged her baby to get him so happy! LOL!

Just popping in to say hello to all the mummies and bubbies but especially to Lissie!! Looking forward to you joining us smile.gif

Bub is stirring so can't stay long, I just thought I would give you all a quick run down.

Went in Thursday night for the gel and started getting mild contractions at 3am about 10 minutes apart. The drip was inseted at 7:30am Friday morning as well as my waters broken and BOOM!! It was on for young and old. Not long later and I was ready to push! I had a bit of gas at the end to regulate my breathing but apart from that I did it with a lot of concentration and focus (and squeezing the crap outta hubby's hand).

Will come back tomorrow for some personals and a pic or two.

Hi Mummies smile.gif

Gosh Lissie, I can't believe that you're lucky last, and that this crazy month is almost behind us. It's gone SO fast. Rubilicious is 4 weeks old tomorrow wub.gif. My goodness. It feels like yesterday that I was pregnant and wistfully looking at my bottle of Clary Sage, making myself wait til 39 weeks laugh.gif

Speaking of pregnant - I really miss it. I had such a gorgeous pregnancy, and I can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences of my life. Not without it's challenges, but it seems really magical, in retrospect. Does anyone else miss being pg? I get a bit teary thinking about it sometimes. Anyone else have this?

......oops, it's now about 6 hours after I started to write this, I think! Quick question before I go to bed (I am definitely ready for an early night!) - has anyone elses bub changed feed/sleep patterns quite suddenly? In the last few days the peanut has slept more & fed less than usual during the days. I'm not sure if this is 'normal' after a bumper growthspurt (I suspect her 2 week & 3 week spurts ran into each other unsure.gif ) or if this is a change now that we've sorted out her windy problems, or a combination of the two, or something different....? I mean, it's good, still LOTS of wet & dirty nappies, her gains are huge (she's visibly growing) so I'm not concerned, really. It's just weird to go from a baby who seemed to be fairly constantly on the boob, to one who really isn't that much!

Where's my manual?! rolleyes.gif

Hope everyone is well. Goodnight!!

PS: Hi Starlet! KK - can't wait to hear more about your story...you're a tough cookie!

Hi mummies
What a crappy 24 hours. I woke up Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning with a shocking headache and shivering hot and cold. It was so bad DH stayed home from work yesterday to look after M so I could just feed him and sleep in between. Feeling loads better this morning though.

Well we gave M a dummy last night and he slept for 6 hours!!! Was so nice to have a longish block of sleep. Not sure whether it was the dummy or the fact that he only had a 30minute catnap between 330pm-830pm. Only problem was I woke up with 2 rockhard boobs!! Was tempted to express a little bit off the side he didn't feed from but couldn't be bothered to sterilise the equipment laugh.gif But then of course the next time he woke I had leaked everywhere.... so sick of leaky boobs ph34r.gif

DH only wants to use the dummy in extreme circumstances, but I just gave it to him, put him in his bassinette and he settled himself to sleep. Surely thats better than having to rock/pat to sleep. What do people think??

Sesame I miss being pregnant too. Straight after giving birth I felt so empty and hollow in the belly area. I guess you have a massive bump for so long and then you have nothing. I miss hugging my little bump and miss the (sometimes annoying) kicks. But it is nice to have a bubba that I can kiss instead. Happy 4 week birthday Ruby. It was M's 4 week birthday yesterday

KoolKat Can't wait to hear more about your little guys arrival and see some pics wub.gif

Lissie Massive hugs to you. Your little girls surely like to keep you waiting. Hope it's not much longer until your bubba is here

PMK Welcome home. Can't wait to hear about Perun's arrival

MissNic Jack is a little cutie biggrin.gif

KAAAM I'm eating and drinking heaps. Probably should be eating more healthier foods ph34r.gif might help with the constipation ph34r.gif dry.gif

Starlet Welcome home. Can't wait to hear your birth story and see some pics wub.gif

ETA Wel it seems like he wants to make me into a liar laugh.gif He did nod off in my arms with a dummy. Im happy with that.

Quick question: What do you do when you think bub's is sleepy? do you wrap and put to bed... start rocking etc? Im just worried I'm missing M's sleepy signs and therefore he's getting overtired???
