Help! Choosing Wedding Roses
Posted 11 July 2010 - 11:03 PM
I was hoping for some inspiration from anyone in regard to having Roses for my wedding flowers. I know this has been done so many times, but I really want a country cottage type wedding.
I was emailed a link to this site www.lilyandrose.com.au which had some great tips and info about flower availability etc, but I still need some ideas about how I can make my rose bouquet unique.
I would love to have David Austin Roses but my wedding is in May and I don't think they're available! (sigh)

I love country style roses, David Austin, and the cottage varities. Something like the abvove would be gorgeous (they are regular roses too) a little lily of the valley and sweet pea would really add to that romantic country garden theme. You will be out of season for the austins and the peony, but a lot of regular roses when opened fully have that same effect. Lisanthus would also be good, see below
